+Changes arming distance on GL round to 25m.

Unrar contents into GRAW2 installation folder.

Included files:
graw2_extended.bat <-- Start file for mod
graw2_extended_context.xml <-- Context file for mod
graw2_extended_readme.txt <-- Info file for mod
clean_xmb.bat <-- Support file to clean out old XMB files
mods/graw2_ext_152_alpha.bundle <-- Content file for mod

Correct placement of included files for mod to work (in case it got extracted somewhere else):
"your GRAW2 folder"/graw2_extended.bat
"your GRAW2 folder"/graw2_extended_context.xml
"your GRAW2 folder"/graw2_extended_readme.txt
"your GRAW2 folder"/clean_xmb.bat
"your GRAW2 folder"/mods/graw2_ext_152_alpha.bundle


=======( How to use )=======

To play the game with this mod, start the game by using the included graw2_extended.bat file.

To play the game without this mod, simply start the game by using the original graw2.exe file.

To use this mod while playing in MP as a player, you have to start the game with
the included BAT file and join a server running this mod.


!! You can not join a server not using this mod if you have started the game with the included BAT file !!


To setup a dedicated server to use this mod, these steps has to be followed:
1. Uploaded mod files to the server in the correct places as listed above.
2. Edit the context-standalone.xml file and add the tag
after the initial script tag.

Please see full README file for example start of context-standalone.xml file

3. Start up the server as normal.


========( Warnings )========
!! The extended draw distance increases the minimum hardware specs and will approximetly half your FPS. !!
!! I would recommend at least a duo core to run the game with this mod. !!

This mod will not work well with another mod in a local folder overriding it.

Although it should work with most custom levels out there, there is always the possibility that
mods may collide somewhere. Each custom level has to be tested for compatibility, which is easiest
done by running the game with the mod and starting a LAN server with the maps you want to test
and then simply starting each level. If it crashes, this mod won't work with that level for some reason.

Just unrar in GRAW2 directory and make sure your GRAW2 installation is clean from other mods. Then run the BAT file.

the player classes arent listed like in the screen shots - i ve got 2 in one selection feeld !?

Then it does not work like it should on your system. Many apparently have that problem and I am trying to track it down.

It will work if you unbundle it and run it as a local folder mod. But it will not work like that for MP as the anti cheat will not like it.

 j/k: i want to start with it too, rare is the enemy that carries a silenced one, and even rarer one with bothsilence andcombat sight.

 

also, is there a way to have only some of these functions?

It is all or nothing in this mod. And there will be more stuff in the next alpha version coming soon.

Same here too... It worked fine when I downoaded it right after the first relese, but when I downloaded it now I got the same "ALLEN" crash application :-(

My friends and I regularly played this mod in a LAN environment.  Late last year we started experiencing the above problems i.e. missing ALLEN soldier template, missing ... rifleman and texture is VOID.  Clean installs and PC rebuilds didn't solve the problems.   In our group the mod work on XP SP1 and Vista SP1 however the problems only occur on our PCs with later service packs, namely XP SP2, XP SP3 and Vista SP2.  It appears that in the later service packs the definition of ALLEN is not recognised - I know that the OS service packs shouldn't have an effect but its the only explanation I can find.In the file graw2_ext_153_beta.bundle  I've change the definition of ALLEN from an xdefine statement to a long form and all the problems appear to have gone.  The only changes made are in the bundle file data\lib\managers\xml\ghost_templates.xml  and described below.Old code:     @kit_allen(ALLEN)New code: <soldier name="ALLEN">  @allen()      <weapon_unit name="m14">   <mod name="m14_scope"/>   <mod name="qd_suppressor"/>  </weapon_unit>    <weapon_unit name="mp5sd"/>  <weapon_unit name="beretta">   <mod name="silencer_secondary"/>  </weapon_unit> </soldier>Can anyone confirm the OS and service pack they have on which the mod works or doesn't?Can anyone familiar with using the Bundler tool confirm that the above fixes the problem for them?Thanks.

The above only fixes the symptom. 

Same result can be achieved by fixing the syntax of the comment at the start of the data\lib\managers\xml\ghost_templates.xml file. Please see my forum post http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=54507&hl=  for a more detailed explanation.

Hi can someone explain me how can I make this mod to work? I create a campaign and I have a maximum of 4 chars and there is nothing of what I saw upper. I extracted evrything but when I open the game I dont see any new weapon or new team members.Can anyoneHelp me?
