the night vision reads heat; but the programming is not very good so people are the only things that are iluminated

Do you mean in GR, or in real life? Because there is definitely a difference in light amplification (Green Specrum) Infrared (Red spectrum, through heat.) FLIR Passive, and FLIR active. Which were you actually referring to I wonder.
