by +Medic+~SPARTA~ (aka SierraNovember6) While we all support GRIN, the ESRB ratings and Ubi$oft (to a degree), viewing these intro videos for the hundred millionth time just gets old. Heres the fix. Although the game allows you to 'hit any key' and move through the Intro videos very quickly, this easy to install NoIntroFix replaces the long intro videos each with a new one second blank video. You can still 'hit any key' through these replacements but there really is no point. After installing you will run GRAW2 and find that after the inital loading bar, your screen iis black for 5 seconds, then goes immediately to the main menu. This NoIntroFix uses these files because deleting the original intro videos without replacing them, results in random crashes to desktop. Installing the GRAW2 NoIntroFix: Unzip the NoIntroFix and copy and paste the five files located in the folder 'GRAW2 NoIntroFix Files' to "*:\Program Files\UBISOFT\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2\Data\movies" folder. Windows will ask if you want to replace the existing files, click YES TO ALL. Dont worry about making back up copies, I have included a folder containing all five of the original video files if you want to reinstall the vids at a later time. Start GRAW2. You will see the GRAW2 logo and the loading bar then five seconds of black and then the main menu. Visit The Legion of Sparta at http://www.thelegionofsparta.com and on our GRAW2 gaming servers. I tried the mod, but it did not work for me, so I simply took out the whole movies map and that had the same effect. No intro anymore. Just a black screen for a few moments and than the main menu. It did not crash either. |
