Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter version 1.30
CHANGENOTES 04/09/2006
Last Additions:
* A ready indicator for MP modes has been added.
* Map download feature has been added.
Server admins can link to a map's location on a web server in the autogenerated map_downloads.xml file, and when clients attempts to join they will be offered to download the map. When the download is completed, the client must restart his game in order to load the new map.
* An extensive list of GRAW mod documentation can be found in the SupportEditor tutorials folder.
* New gametype Siege added.
One team defends and holds a vital zone while the other attempts to get inside it. If the attackers remain alive inside the zone for more than 4 seconds, they win the game.
* New gametype OGR Coop added.
OGR coop brings back firefight and recon winning conditions to GRAW, and compliments the Cooperative campaign mode in the game.
* Standalone dedicated server executable added.
This executable will load context-dedicated.xml, which in turn reads servers_shared.xml in /Settings. Servers_shared.xml lets you specify a server password and other server settings. Please note that the minimum game CPU requirement still applies, or you might start experiencing connection issues.
* Server administration console added.
A complete list of commands can be found in Support/Commands.txt
* A new speedhack detection system has been added to the anticheat.
* You can now add favorites by entering the server's ip in the favorites interface.
This allows you to enter a custom ip for a server and connect directly. Note that you need to be logged in to Gamespy first, in order to register with your nickname.
* Added nightvision toggle for Deathcam
* Added a new checkbox in the Cooperative campaign that allows players to continue even if Mitchell dies.
* Added kit restrictions.
Enable these either in the server creation interface or through the admin console. You can mix and match to customize your server.
* Added a new 3 Mbit/s limit for server admins.
You can now increase the alloted game bandwidth to 3 Mbit, from a previous maximum of 1.5. This is the maximum total a server may use and share between it's clients, but please note that while a higher bandwidth setting can decrease latency and improve lag issues, it will increase the processor load on the server. The bandwidth setting only affects servers.
* Added "Next map" to the multiplayer loading screen.
* Updated the Editor to allow outputting Siege and OGR Coop maps.
Press F1 in the editor to access the help screen for each layer. There's also a tutorial and a sample level in the Support directory.
Fixes:
* Fixed aspect ratio bug with widescreen monitors.
* Fixed shot/hit effect going off on spawn and sometimes when chatting.
* Fixed issue where a player could get stuck in run animation.
* Fixed several crash bugs.
* The server info button now always shows the correct map name
* Fixed glitch where you could run while crouching and still shoot.
* Fixed an exit bug that would cause GRAW to perform an illegal operation when exiting.
* Fixed some CrossCom camera glitches.
* A number of typos and small glitches have been fixed.

Thanks for a game that needs more patches than a Hells Angel

Looks good so far, patches show support and no sign of a patch is a good sign the publishers don't care, ever heard of continuous improvement?

You ever heard of getting your monies worth?
Continuous improvement? Thats laughable. We are still waiting for a game that works. Thats the whole problem with the mindset of most gamers now. They have gotten used to developers putting out sub-par products and then patching the hell out of them just to get them playable. Why should we be thankful of a company who takes our money promising a fantastic gaming experience then delivers garbage. We have to wait months on end for patches that never fix anything. If I were to build a customers house half-assed and tell them don't worry I'll make patches and updates which should make it livable in a year or two I would be sent to prison for fraud. For those who disagree with me thats fine you can put all of your money together and I'll build you a great house for say $300,000.00. It will be about 1,500 sq ft might have a roof, not sure yet. You might even get to move in about five years after you pay me. Get smart stop letting the developers get rich off of garbage products.

Dude, get a grip! you are not going to move into the retail box for GRAW are you? Developers have a business to run, and payroll eats away at a company slowly but surely. There comes a pint in time when you gotta do what you gotta do, and release the product to get revenues going. In spite of the flaws I bet you had a great time playing it as I did. At least they are constantly improving, and I'm sure one day with the help of the mods and new patches from UBI it will be as great as GR1. A game that has kept me entertained for 5 years, with many a nights staying up with freinds online killing each other?? . I really don't have any room to bitch about anything. I think they did a great job! get a grip and play yr game!

LMAO ... Looks like flash is one of the people who always suck up to the crooks ripping him off. Ignorance must be bliss.

Yea, talk about ignorance... You must be at some level as well if you are even reading this post. If you feel that GRIN has ripped you off, what was the point of you navagating to this page in the first place? High hopes that a button will appear for $50 refunds? Seriously, I'm blissful indeed! The $49.00 "game" is very advanced. So what if it has a few bugs? So does my expensive triple monitor setup that I run the game on. My point is that I don't feel ripped off at all. I'm still having a blast, and will wait patiently for updates from GRIN and nVidia. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy the terrific foundation of the game, blissfull as hell that it was even created.

lol.. Somebody hand him a pacifier. Hit a nerve did he? The graphics are insane that is for sure. The ai needs a little tweeking still. They get confused as where to go and how best to get there but no big prob. Just give the team individual orders instead of follow. Game still locks up on every level at least once. Enemy ai can on rare occasion shoot through walls. Must be using thermal imaging lol. The game has issues but it will get there one of these days.
A lot of forward progress has been made already.
p.s Maybe people are navigating to this page in hopes of finding a patch that fixes all of the games defects. That would make me belive they have more brain power than those who may feel the need to insult them.

Have to say I don'tunderstand what all the bitching is about, the only reason I need the patch is cos eveyrone else is running it and I can't connect to online games anymore. other than that the game runs superb. I haven't had any of the problems people have been moaning about, and so what if the AI isn't perfect, sometimes it's to your advantage, sometimes not. That's life.

Loads of bitchin going on boout this game, for what its worth i think its fine, well done GRIN for the work so far, like many posters ive played GR1 for 5 years odd, GRAW is great, the graphics rock, i just wish they hadnt messed with the GR1 style of playing, in my mind all GR1 needed was a graphics boost and a decent anticheat, the gameplay was first class.
Keep up the good work
