Your mission at Los Mochis was only a partial success, the new anti air defense systems were destroyed but Miguel Morales was able to escape along with some of his elite rebels.
In the confusion the rebels captured several US troops and these are being held prisoner at a town called Jalisco, Miguel Morales is using some kind of new technology that is being used to hold the US prisoners in suspended animation.
Intel suggests that this new technology is being used to extract information from the prisoners and they are trying to gain the advantage by finding out any information about the Ghosts future missions into Mexico.
Your mission here is to locate the US prisoners and secure them so we can arrange their rescue, you will also need to locate their HQ and if found Miguel Morales should be eliminated.
Before you can extract you will have to destroy the transmitting station and disable their Intel systems.
Failure here is not an option, our comrades are in grave danger Ghosts and are relying on you to save them.
Your mission: 1. Locate And Secure HQ.
2. Rescue The Hostages.
3. Destroy The Transmitters.
4. Destroy The Distillery.
5. Disable Intel Systems.
6. Destroy Adat A.
7. Destroy Adat B.

Special Instructions: Once again this will be the new type of adaptive mission, when there is one player on the map then the mission will be in lone wolf mode, in this mode there will be about half the amount of AI but if more players join after the mission starts (this will work at any point in the map) then the mission will update itself at the next trigger and change to the multiplayer version.
The same thing will happen if you start the mission with more than one player which gives you the multiplayer version from the start, if some of the players were to leave the mission after it starts and you end up with just one player on the map then it will revert to lone wolf mode when you activate the next trigger.
When the mission first starts you will see a switch on the wall, this will allow you to activate the multiplayer version (when the light is on) if you are playing alone giving you all the AI that's in the multiplayer version.
What you can do here is, if you find the mission to hard you can go back to the switch and turn it off so when you activate the next trigger it will be back into lone wolf mode.
Likewise if you start in lone wolf mode and find it to easy just go back to the switch and turn it on and when you activate the next trigger it will then be in multiplayer mode.
Please note: The switch will only work if you are playing the mission alone, if there is more than one player then the mission will be set to multiplayer mode automatically.
Reporting crashes or issues: If you have any problems using this mission then please use the Discussion link below which will redirect you to the release thread in the Ghost Recon.net forums.
You will be able to post any issues or questions there, this will help the author to respond to your problem more efficiently.

firsst and great map as usual

Hi John.
To be honest, i didnt like that map. I think all 3 last maps jalisco, los mochis, salazar look the same. They have same design, same idea of roadblock, just buildings stay on different places..... The maps like leopardos, calavera, ghost storm, they are one of my favourites maps, becouse they dont look the same.
1. In all your last maps, there are no more image on the scope, in old maps its always been on.
2. Another thing is drawing distance, jesus buidings looking like white boxes on long distances. Look at old multiplayer maps like: sierra, quarry, timberc. They looking great, becouse there are lot of landscape. And landscape looking nice almost on all distances.
3. Why not using any water on the maps, it looks great.
Its only my opinion, so dont be angry on me) And thx for doing new maps, i think by amounts of maps you on the 1st place, good luck and best regards)

Hi SheparD.
Thanks for your feedback, I always welcome it whether it's good or bad, after all we don't all like the same things.
The problem we have is that we are now reaching the limit as to what the game is capable of, so it's becoming harder to find new things to put in the maps, this is the main reason that I now make a new scratch built map for each of my missions.
I can't see how you can say that the Salazar map looks the same as the rest as this is a GRAW2 landscape where 90% of the buildings come from GRAW1 which I have never used before, how more different can you get.
As to the buildings looking white in the distance, the main reason for this is due to the size of the map if you were able to see all of those buildings then this would effect the performance of the game, so instead of complaining about the white buildings you would be complaining about the amount of lag in the game, you can't have you cake and eat it, lol.
My next mission is still in the alpha testing stage but this will be a bit different from the usual urban maps.
Thanks,John

As usual John, on behalf of the GRAW 2 community out there, thank you for all your hard work for keeping this game alive. When you have CQB you arent interested in the scenery ! If its a built up town fight go for local quality and screw the distance thing, but if its a large open map with trees etc, then draw distance maybe a thing to think about, but from what i have seen so far, you are spot on, and long may it continue.
Got my thumbs up 100 %
:o)

Hi cjo1964,
Thanks for your kind words and your (and everyone else) continuing support.
Looking at my missions I don't see anyway of changing the draw distance anyway, maybe it's a setting in some of the other xml files but AFAIK it's not something I can control from the mission.
As I said before the reason you are seeing these "white" buildings (these are just buildings with no textures) is due to the size of my latest maps, the game engine is unable to display all of the textures, if it did then you would have more lag on the map due to the extra resources needed to display these extra textures.
Having said that someone might know of a way to increase the draw distance, if you do then let me know and I will look into it.
Thanks all,John

There is no need to increase the draw distance, just dont let players see buildings on long distances by using natural obstacles)) For example map timberk. Why not combining buidlding with landshaft. For example lost military base with desert rocks, after destroing all on it, by tunnel in rocks you come to hidden part of that base, big airport. I mean this rocks(natural obstacle) will hide that base.
About adding something new, maybe some friendly vehicle: for example 1 tank that have been captured, your point will be to free it, and then you must take that tank to safe point. Maybe take some cool things from other games, like modern warfare 2. For example situation by rounds,5 rounds(waves) you must defend the point with other soldiers, then assault and take other goals of mission. Another thing is doing something with close ranges) For now i remember only strategic eraducation map. By combining close and modern ranges players can use all kind of gear, and finally shotgun will talk)))
Hope it will help somehow for your new maps))
Good luck and thx for listening.

Hey John , would this be a good idea to add a Dam into 1 of your missions? not like the 1 in Singeplayer Campaign but a different 1. I belive lots of people would be proud of your work , where you put a lot of effort in. :) thx *Jesus*

I enjoy playing your maps John. They are challanging yet you can rack up a large body count. Only diss is the choppers are damn near impossible to take out. Takes like 10 mags from a .556. ZEUS availablity would be nice.
Good job though. Keep em coming.
Posted By JohnTC02 on 16/07/10 19:38:59
There is only one map with the Dam in it, we are limited to what we can use to what's available in the editor, unless someone out there can make some more landscapes for us.
Sulley70, if you want to see some extra Zeus's around the map then that's not a problem, I will try and remember to add them in my next mission. If I forget then you could always join the forums and let me know.
Thanks all
John

Posted By SheparD on 18/07/10 08:07:25
So haywood the only one resolutions you found is to play other game or create own map right? And read what resolutions i write. Who write better? Im not camplaining, i just write what things could be better to change. And i didnt want ths game look like mw2, thats why i play that game, but in all games there are some cool features, that could be used in graw. In map jalisco what i realy like is begining of mission, where john using different level of landscape. If you like all in that map, then just say thx to john, that map is awesome and play it, thats all you can do :P John is great map creator, and every time he trying to make something new in each map, if my comments are useless, so i can say only thx for work he did and good luck in creating a new maps))

I still would like to see a graw2 conversion of the graw1 custom map stairway to hell. But maybe thats just me ;=)

I am trying to run this map on a server, and experience that every time I take out the first tank, the server crashes. John, do you have any idea what this is about. I have finished the map on other servers, but this server apparently struggles. For reference, this is the FSN coop server, and if you have any useful input, I will be happy. Thank you.

John, very good job, just a problem when using a rpg of the mule on the left, he crashed the game I tried with 3 different servers, and each time crash. Continue your work is excellent. Sorry for my English I am French.
Posted By JohnTC02 on 23/07/10 18:51:43
pdanoe, sorry my knowledge of servers is very limited but I have heard of some servers that use dual core machines can have this problem, there was a fix posted in our forums where by if you force the server to use one core then this can help this problem.
Take a look at this thread, the info you want is from post #10 (check out the link in there as well):http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=54707 You may need to copy this link and post it into your browser, sometimes these links just take you to the main forums page.
BlackWolf, this is a known bug in graw2, I have mentioned this before so do not use the mule if you are carrying a rpg, this also applies to a couple of other weapons but I can't remember the names of hand.

Have you tried to steal landscape from other games and fit them into graw2 ? :) Might work :P*Jesus*

Game keeps crashing on me...
Posted By JohnTC02 on 26/07/10 09:05:36
*Jesus*, nice idea but the problem is that other games use a different engine so they would not be compatible plus you then run into copyright laws, I don't think other game manufacturers would appreciate it if used their material.
Chris, saying the game keeps crashing is no use to me, you need to post your crash log to give me any hope of helping you.

Hi,
we tried to play this map with 5 players. The Server was set up with 5 players. Only 4 could connect to the server, the last man got "waiting for server". Is this map limited to 4 players?
Posted By Jesus on 31/07/10 07:18:27
Well dang :/
Posted By BlackWolf on 31/08/10 08:45:38
Bonjour, on peut utiliser le rpg, mais il ne faut pas changer d'arme avec la mule juste après, il faut retrouver une arme qui traîne, et ce sur toutes les cartes avec une mule. Merci John, continue, tu fais un superbe travail.

The Server crashes when the Intel is blown up. Game Over.
