Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is the new series that is stirring up the gaming world. It is a direct sequel of its predecessor Ghost Recon: Wildlands which was released in 2017. However, Breakpoint features new elements and features. The trailer of the game was leaked before its official announcement date on May 9, 2019. Ubisoft has finally announced that the game will be released later in the year; October 4, 2019. Here is a look at the storyline of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
A brief overview of the trailer.
The trailer starts in 500BC and explains that the mythical golem is the artificial intelligence which is meant to serve and protect. The trailer flashes forwards twenty years later and the year is 1995 where it starts to show various technological advancements. It then diverges to Skell Technology build by Jace Skell which is bound to be the future.
However, as technology becomes more potent, it becomes a threat to the human race. The tech kills a potential candidate and eventually becomes a global threat. The final bit of the trailer shows the Ghost Recon Skull that rips through the screen and Ghosts are called upon to investigate why the island is off the grid.

The Ghosts are taken to the central island of Auroa Archipelago which is located in the South Pacific. It is the biggest island in the Pacific, and its boasts of rainforests, swamps, volcanoes, and snow-capped mountains. However, it is also the new home to Skells technology, which is a global threat. The enemy revamps the island of Auroa into a World 2.0, which is a high tech utopia. It is capable of sustaining new cities and enigmatic technology.
At the beginning of the game, you crash your helicopter on the island. Since the game features a new injury system, you are left alone with a semipermanent injury. It is upon you to navigate through Auroa as you try and reach your team. However, there is a band of rogue operatives who are hunting you. It is, therefore, upon yourself to use the environment to survive. The landscape and the weather conditions of the island can give you both a helping hand and some challenges. For instance, rainfall and snow can be advantageous but still slow you down.
The Enemies
There are a bunch of enemies, both old and new that you will have to face on the island. If you played Ghost Recon: Wildlands then I am sure you came across Cole D. Walker. He was an ally in the later, but in Breakpoint, he is now the enemy and the leader of the Wolves: ex-rogue operatives. There are no resources, Intel or backup which will help your Ghost rather you have to use all your combat skills.
