Why
was my post deleted from your Forums?
We have to strictly
enforce the forum rule regarding discussion of
warez. Discussion of warez is not permitted for
several reasons, the two most important are as
follows.
- Our advertisers do not sponsor
web sites that contain warez information. Without
sponsors, there is no GR.net.
- Game publishers have an obvious
interest in stopping warez. Our good relationship
with Ubi Soft means we bring you exclusives,
prizes and news straight from Ubi Soft. Having
any warez discussion jeopardises that relationship.
So, please no warez talk on
the forums, and that includes unoffical patches
such as No-CD patches, thanks. |

Is Ghost
Recon the next Rainbow Six game?
No. Ghost Recon is a Tom
Clancy title, like Rainbow Six, it is produced
by the same guys that brought you Rainbow Six/Rogue
spear - but it is not the next Rainbow Six game.
Rainbow Six centred on an elite CT group called
"Rainbow", Ghost Recon's focus is an
elite army squad called "The Ghosts".

Yes, there is Dedicated
Server support.

Is Ghost
Recon like Rogue Spear?
Ubisoft are targeting players
and fans of The Tom Clancys Rainbow Six
series, hard-core gamers and military sim fans
- so yes, Ghost Recon is like Rogue Spear. It
is a tactical First Person Shooter where the player
controls a group of characters in a mission based
environment. Where it differs is the Ghost Recon
war scenario rather than a Rogue Spear terrorism
scenario, and a revamped engine with improved
graphics and Artificial Intelligence.

What
is the plot for Ghost Recon?
Official Press Release : "War has begun on
Russian soil and threatens to encompass the globe.
Lead an elite infantry team through a series of
military missions around the world, ranging from
covert actions to search-and-rescue operations,
to all-out firefights in this first-person squad-based
action game."
"The whole
storyline revolves around old-school Russians
trying to get power back." A militaristic
group comes to power in Russia in 2008 and begins
to arm insurgents in neighbouring territories.
When the insurgents begin to agitate, the saber-rattlers
in Moscow have a perfect pretext to step in and
use military force to reassert their influence
in several former Eastern Bloc territories. The
Ghost Recon squad (loosely based on the US Army's
Land Warrior program) steps in to save the day."

|
Is
there a planning phase like in Rogue Spear?
Planning in Ghost Recon will be carried out in
a far more flexible manner. During missions players
will have the ability to quickly and easily form,
change and adapt plans as the situation changes.
This will be facilitated by map overlays which
permit new instructions to be issued to individual
troops who will acknowledge and carry out orders
as instructed.

|
|
|
Are
weapons visible?
No, in 1st person
view, you will not see your weapon. This is a
