Why The Great Big Sig's?

Recommended Posts

Why is so many useing these Great Big Signatures that take so long to download.

They look like banners to me,some nearly take up the entire page!

I looked at a three page topic and I would bet it would fit on one page if not for the Great Big Signatures.........

Eh... if you see any that take up nearly an entire page, please contact a moderator/staff member/administrator. We have rules restricting signature image sizes to 480*100 pixels and work hard keeping all sigs in line with these.

If you don't like to see signature images at all, go into:

Ghost Recon.net Forums ->Your control panel ->Board Settings

and set "Do you wish to view members signatures when reading threads?" to "No".

Signatures have no bearing on thread length. The default board setting fits fifteen (15) posts onto one (1) page no matter how long or short the posts (and posters' signatures) are. You can also change this setting in your board Control Panel.

Cool, didnt noticed that before. Sigs could be indeed annoying, especialy for quick reading. But he, thats just my opion. ;)

When I had a dial up connection, I always left the sigs on, I was always interested to see what images people would come up with.

I did'nt notice it slowing me down either, but I guess if it helps the page speed.
