Well it is finally done! Saute is alive and kicking! :punk:

It took a bit longer than expected, but so far (the past week or so) it screams and is rock solid (on Windogs 98se non the less). Ghost Recon rocks on this machine!

Here is a quickie recap....

Old Computer:

Chaintech 7AJA ATX motherboard

AMD Duron 1 ghz

448 MB PC133 RAM

PNY GeForce 2 MX 400 32 MB

MadDog Multimedia PCI sound card 5.1

12 GB Samsung drive (old and slow 5400 rpm) ATA 33

20 GB Maxtor drive 7200 RPM ATA 66

One rear 80 mm case fan

One 230 watt power supply (I thought it was 300, good thing I looked! :stupid:)

One (what I thought was) adequate generic beige mid tower case

New Computer:

Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro ATX motherboard

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (Barton core)

512 MB Corsair XMS3200 dual channel DDR (256x2)

Chaintech GeForce FX 5200 128 MB

40 GB Maxtor drive 7200 RPM ATA 133

Two rear 80 mm case fans

Two front 80 mm case fans

One 420 watt Chieftec dual ball bearing fan power supply

One Chieftec Dragon beige mid tower case (I love this case ), no window, no side fan

Left on my wish-list for this computer:

Two serial ATA drives

At least one more (prefferably 3  ) 40 GB Maxtor drives
