Saute is alive and kicking! :punk: It took a bit longer than expected, but so far (the past week or so) it screams and is rock solid (on Windogs 98se non the less). Ghost Recon rocks on this machine! Here is a quickie recap.... Old Computer: Chaintech 7AJA ATX motherboard AMD Duron 1 ghz 448 MB PC133 RAM PNY GeForce 2 MX 400 32 MB MadDog Multimedia PCI sound card 5.1 12 GB Samsung drive (old and slow 5400 rpm) ATA 33 20 GB Maxtor drive 7200 RPM ATA 66 One rear 80 mm case fan One 230 watt power supply (I thought it was 300, good thing I looked! ) One (what I thought was) adequate generic beige mid tower case New Computer: Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro ATX motherboard AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (Barton core) 512 MB Corsair XMS3200 dual channel DDR (256x2) Chaintech GeForce FX 5200 128 MB 40 GB Maxtor drive 7200 RPM ATA 133 Two rear 80 mm case fans Two front 80 mm case fans One 420 watt Chieftec dual ball bearing fan power supply One Chieftec Dragon beige mid tower case (I love this case ), no window, no side fan Left on my wish-list for this computer: Two serial ATA drives At least one more (prefferably 3 ) 40 GB Maxtor drives Quote Link to post Share on other sites
