spookn 0 Posted September 5, 2003 Share Posted September 5, 2003 I want to get involved in playing GR on-line. I have both exp pcks and some of the Mod's, add on level's etc... I am looking to have "FUN". But hate to lose. I have visions of people sitting at home in front of the PC in full uniform / shinny boots / helmet.... Not that there is anything wrong with that... I'm just not looking to go so deep as to forget its a game. I have some pretty good PC skills that could be helpfull, but so do the rest of you, I am guessing. So, if someone can fill me in on where to get started, I'd appreciate it. I am pretty clueless about the online thing, but have played Strumovik (air) on line. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Punjab 0 Posted September 6, 2003 Share Posted September 6, 2003 Well, there are lots of good dedicated servers out there, that are fun to play on. (Check the list on GR.net's home page). Some run mostly coop, like Alpha squad, but most play team-vs-team, like the SRS. Find one that you like, with good people and good support, and make some contacts. If you are looking to find a clan, there are hundreds to pick from. My advise, if you are looking at a clan to join, would be play with them as often as you can, read their rules and policies to be sure that you agree with them, and get on their forums. Get to know them, and how they operate. BTW: If you haven't already, pick up a voice comm program. Most servers and clans use them, and they make the game alot more fun.
