Gryphon 0
Hi guys! Looks like I made a little screwup. Trying to make a MARPAT mod of my own, I modified the original Desert Siege RSBs. But I clicked the save button too soon - and so I lost the original 3 color deserts. Could someone email the RSBs to me? I tried to reinstall DS in another directory but the installer wants to uninstall GR... All I need are the rifle, demo and support RSBs that originally came with DS. Gryphon 0
Hmmm... Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn't be that hard to mail three RSB files methinks, is it illegal or something? I do own DS... Any way to get into the packed files then and not have to uninstall GR entirely to get at these textures?
Parabellum 12
Welcome to the wonderful world of modding, dude. IIRC, we're not allowed to redistribute anything that came on the CD's. If you want your textures back, reinstall the game, and this time, don't remove the read-only attributes of the files.
Stalker 0
okok, a little off topic, but what the hell means "IIRC"???
Avey 0
okok, a little off topic, but what the hell means "IIRC"??? If I Recall (or Remember) Correctly
Gryphon 0
Cool, no worries - I'll just find some other PC and install DS onto that, then extract the files by disc. I wasn't aware of distribution rules, and thanks for the welcome but I've been modding since Rogue Spear, just never published anything
Ruin 17
What I did (when I actually modded, lol) was I ahd two copies of GR on my machine. The one I actually used for gaming, modding, mods etc and one that I NEVER touched. Whenever I ###### something up I'd go back to the clean one and copy and paste from there. Gryphon 0
I tried that but the installer always wants to UNinstall my GR before I can install another copy. I would love some information on how You did this since it's exactly what I want on my PC. As I said, the autoinstaller just won't let me do it...
Ruin 17
Now that you ask, I really don't remember. lol. I think it was when I got my newest HD and I installed it right off the bat. What you could do is save your Mods / Mod Work somewhere uninstall then reinstall GR and then copy and paste the fresh and patched version. Lol, if that makes sense.
