Tollen
Hello! I´m working on a Noise Flash Device and when I tried that one on the castle (the demo-level) and throws it through the window in the eastern building, I hear a scream, I rush straight in... The wounded enemy sprays and prays like something from a nightmare and before I can get my rounds to bear, I´m hit! My first conscious thought there was that I was going down, one round in the torso, more have to come. But what happens? the guy stop shooting and placing his hands behind his head!!!! I didn´t know there was such a script in GR... sure, people are made to surrender and follow you through the level, but a non-scripted AI? Any one else that experienced this? Parabellum
I didn´t know there was such a script in GR... sure, people are made to surrender and follow you through the level, but a non-scripted AI? Any one else that experienced this? I've had guys surrender a couple of times, but not too often, unless it was scripted that way. The only time I clearly remember a guy surrendering was on a terrorist hunt on the traintracks map, where there were a couple of ruskies down by the house, and I was lying prone on the tracks. We exchanged fire, so I called Bravo team over to help me, and we all laid down suppressive fire on them. After another minute or so, I noticed that nobody was shooting back, and my TI had gone off, but the mission didn't end. So, I cautiously went down and had a look, and I found one baddie on his knees in the bushes, with his hands behind his head. I popped him and the mission ended. EDIT - Man, I miss GR! As soon as I can get my PC running right again, I'm going to tear it up! Edited August 15, 2003 by Parabellum
Tollen
Next question: What causes this? Is it the "Panic"-box in IGOR or what? It would save a lot of ammo and charachters if more foes gave up...
2nd Ranger
I did this chopper mission on D06, where you're in a Blackhawk and you circle the hill with the house until all the guys are dead. On a few occasions, the very last guy either got scared or ran out of ammo, and got down on his knees with his hands up. I did this other one where you land at the back of the house and kill everyone on foot, and I was real pleased when this happened; I felt so big.
