Aggressor 0
Hello all, I'm planning to reformat my hd soon before school starts. Is there any way that I can keep all the windows updates and service pack 1 by burning them onto a cd so that i don't have to d/l them all again? Thanks
Super-Bob 0
I don't know about the updates, but theres a full downloadable version of SP1, a search on ms.com would find it for you.
Specter 0
I havent been able to save the updates so that we could do that. They seem to be DL only, and I think thats because they change all the time. You can with SP1. I personally havent ever re-installed SP1. I had problems with it with some games, and uninstalled it, then that didnt take, and ended up FFR'ing. I only do the security and individual updates now and dont mess with SP1, but that is a personal preference.
Dark Ranger 0
I'm running 2KPro, and it's almost the opposite: I only download the Service Packs, and leave the individual updates safe on Microsoft's FTP Server. However, I just reformatted one of my rigs, and decided to test my luck. D/led the "Critical Security Updates". So far, they haven't screwed my system.
