Aggressor 0
Hello all, I have decided to back up all my important files, etc on the pc since I haven't done so in a while. I plan to burn the files onto a cd-rom. Is there anyway that I can shrink the size of my document, mods, etc folders using a utility? If so are there any good utilities out there? Thanks Edited August 7, 2003 by Aggressor
Crimson 0
WinZip WinRAR WinRAR gives you a smaller file. Just giving you options.

RooK 0
7-zip might also be worth looking into. http://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/
BlueRose_76 0
Im on WinZip. Compressing your folders for back up is indeed a good idea. Besides the smaller filesize you can easily store the original tree of directories and set a password on it. Regards, BlueRose_76
FritzDaKat 0
7 zip is nice, but the user interface is a bit weird if your used to win-zip at first, if only 7-zip used the WinZip classic gui, but hey, it's free, and it hasnt crashed, corrupted files or made that funny smeeling smoke come out of my PC so Im not complaining.
