I was wondering if any one else had this problem

I moved my working folder, for some dumb reason , that i can't figure out. and now, even after moving it back. it tells me when exporting that it can't find each of my rsb's. even on the new ones i have added, after moving it back. all the textures show up in game and it all looks fine. i also have gone back and "redone" the path to my texture files.

so is this just and odd thing or will i have bigger problems?

If you're using max4, you can run "resource collector" (utilities tab -> more -> resource collector) and point it to a directory. This will take all the maps from your scene and collect them in the directory you specify. Then, point the exporter to that directory. That should fix it.

Were you using RSB textures IN MAX to texture the objects?

ive all ways got a error or its, cannot read in the ExportDebug that 3ds make when exporting the file.. The best thing to do is map your model in 3ds as a .BMP. If u do this the error will not show up in the ExportDebug. Ive found it best to make a folder in 3ds max main folder with all your textures and use that patch each time u just have to know what texture you use for your model, and yo have to copy the texure and place it in the mod folder. But it will work fine any ways if u use the rsb just that u will get the cannot read message. i hope that helps yea there
