warhawk 0 Posted August 5, 2003 Share Posted August 5, 2003 I was just going through the list of mods that will be run at one time or another on our dedicated server and noticed that Frostbite v1.1 was listed. While I am still unable to really enjoy this mod to it's fullest extent, a hardware issue that will be taken care of, I wanted to make sure I had the correct version ahead of time. I got the mod when it first came out. Was there a patch released for it? If so I will find it and go from there. Once I found the mod unplayable for me I deactivated it until such a time I could play it again and honestly haven't been paying attention to the many topics and threads about it. " If I need to download a different version altogether that is not a problem but if I don't need to do anything then I am cool and this topic can go the way of the dodo bird. I was away from GR for about 6mths or more until few mths back (yes...the war brought me back - perhaps for all the wrong reasons ) and had to reinstall fresh when I did so. FB had just come out - and so I gave it a go...as the only mod. What a mod. I know it has mixed reaction, but personally (after the 1.1 patch - which u now know was additional to the original 1.0) I have NO complaints, and only glowing credit for it. Excellent. Superb maps - all with their own character - depending on the artist - and great sheen to the missions. Even the intro is fresh and crisp. Played online frequently at Wolf mbr server with a few of the folks here...and all enjoyed. I encourage you to do the necessary to fix the technical issue and get your teeth in. I reckon you will thoroughly enjoy. However, a new video is what is needed for me and that isn't going to happen tomorrow. It will occur just not right away. As it is I don't seem to have enough memory on the current card.
