Although I havnt been in the forums long, I have used Ghost Recon.net for a while, and have seen the evolution of the download server. The first thing was having to register, this made me annoyed Then they added another (3rd) free public server. This made me happy Now, when I went to downlaod ADF Desert Siege patch, I found that there was only ONE free server. This made me annoyed Then I found out it had a half hour waiting time. This made me angrier Then, After half an hour, the download DID NOT WORK. It downloaded in 2 seconds, some incomplete part of patch. This made me very very very ANGRY I know little can be done about this, I just needed to let it out. Are there any alternatives??? Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Calm down I don't think registering before you have access to gigabytes of free downloads is really too much to ask is it? 2. Find alternative download locations, there are lots. I even went to the extent of buying a months subscription too, and the DL's weren't all that bad tbh, a tad faster that they normally are, and it was great not having to wait to DL too!! Once I get ADSL I might just buy a months subscription again and DL everything I wanted to but couldn't with this crappy ISDN connection I have. Rarely did I have to wait, and even if I did, after a short wait the download speed was maxing out my cable modem, can't complain at that! Quote Link to post Share on other sites
