warhawk 0
I went through the steps in the Pinned section of the thread and the framerates dropped on my wife's pc. She is using an Nvidia Gforce2 MX/MMX 400. The driver she is using is the 44.03. Unfortunately Riva Tuner, or at least the only one I could find, that I downloaded is not compatible with these new drivers. However, she gets her best performance with these drivers and has since she started using them. Oh yeah we are also using DX 8.1a. Now I am sure that I am not including something here that Phantom will want, , so if I haven't let me know and I will post it. This post is more of a question of is there anything else out there that would help me to increase her frame rate, and if you say a new processor I will blow a head gasket because I know that! , from 45-50 FPS on the emabassy map to a higher rate. WhiteKnight77 1
Post the upper bit of DxDiag where it says system information here.
warhawk 0
@WK As soon as I can get at my wife's pc again I will do that. My question was more about if there was a newer program out like Rivatuner to tweek her vid card with. Of course most of her current performance issue's right now center around the bloody processor but that has been covered already elsewhere. NYR_32 6
The version of Rivatuner... which I can't remember where I got from .... allowed me to tweak the 44.03's...... but the only thing I messed with was V-sync.
Specter 0
I think you have all youre going to get out of the GF2MX bro. Your proc has nothing to do with it.
SteveYates 0
The 44.03 drivers' Advanced settings (in Display Properties) have many of the same tweaks. - Steve Yates - Well, to be Frank, I'd have to change my name. ~ Taglines by Taglinator ~
Rocky 1,224
She is using an Nvidia Gforce2 MX/MMX 400. I have the same card, so if you need a FPS comparison, just lemme know what map you are running and we can compare notes.
warhawk 0
@Rocky The framerate noted above was on the Embassy Map while running HX4. The game type was Assualt HX. Before she was up in the 60's closing in on 70fps on the same map with the same game type and mod. But Phantom may very well be, well ummm, errrmmmm, uhhhh.....Crap!!!! I can't say it. You know it's that word that begins with an R. Stout Hearts Warhawk

Specter 0
@warhawk With your system, overclocking would be very unwise.
