Wow, now this is a sweet RPG. Its like Morrowind, but instead of being on land, your flying in space. Now, I had my doubts. (Not much of a Sci-Fi freak.) Then I went over to a buddies house and watched him play. About 30 minutes later I went out and bought it, and all I can say is, wow.

Wow that looks pretty kool ! It reminds me of a game that was supposed to come out, and the name has totally slipped my mind , a while ago. The only difference in the game I am thinking about was that it was on modern day Earth and you would've been able to work for the cops or against them and stuff. Grrrr what was it called ( keep wanting to say Rolling Thunder ) . I have it in an old PCGamer mag from 2yrs ago but it was cancelled due to the company being bought out or something .

--> Havok wanders off to the storage room to dig that mag out 'cause the title is really bothering him <--

I have played this game to death now!! :D It was that good that it stopped me playing GR or RS for about two months flat.

The only problem I had with the game was that it didn't last long enough for me.

But if anyone wants a recommendation, then I'd tell you to buy it!

I tried the demo, found some bugs, found that lots of other people found the same bugs (no sound at certain scenes), so I gave it a miss - although it did look fun.

Has it been patched yet?

Edit> I see a patch but looks like it does not address the sound issue :(

Privateer?

 Unless they're making a sequel, you're talking about a 8-9 year old game. Actually, I hope they do. It was cool.

The original Privateer is from the same company that put out the Wing Commander games. Drawing a blank on the company, though.

There is nothing better, aside from sniping with a Hectate II mind you, than setting down in the cockpit of Titan armed with Nomad Energy weapons and distroying everyone that opposes you!

Woah - that just reminded me - do you remember that game? Called 'Rolling Thunder' or something similar??

It was out on the 8-bits' - I played it on speccie and the Amstrad CPC464....

You were a tall thin skinny guy in a side-scroller thing - and could do mad somersaults and jumps as u fought your way along. Vague memory...

can someone help me out?

PS - sorry for jacking the thread - just got memory block.
