Abyss 0 Posted July 29, 2003 Share Posted July 29, 2003 I've installed the recommened mods and Desert Siege and played for awhile. Then i exit and start again later, and it wont load, it just sits in task manager and lugs the computer, but never loaded. I reinstalled everything and reinstalled the mods one by one to see what was wrong, but when i install a mod, it just wont let GR load. I have to delete the "modsset.txt" file in the GR folder everytime or deactivate the mods before i exit out for it to work... any idea? Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Joe Bean 0 Posted July 29, 2003 Share Posted July 29, 2003 I had this problem a while back with Free Libya and was advised to do the following. Uninstall everything, then Install GR, DS, IT and then the latest patch (1.4 at the time) in that specific order. Then install mods. Remembering to prioritise the mod you wish to activate. It sometimes helps to deactivate unused mods. It may all seem obvious but wasn't to me at the time Hope this helps. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Specter 0 Posted July 29, 2003 Share Posted July 29, 2003 Sniper Armoury was also causing this problem. Also, there are some mods that wont work with other mods activated. Also, most mods require both DS and IT to work, and both DS and IT must be activated at the same time as the other mods. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Sephiroth 0 Posted July 31, 2003 Share Posted July 31, 2003 haha i've had that problem but instead of reinstalling everything when that happens all u gotta do is open the 'modsset.txt' which it should look something like this.. // MODS SETTINGS - LIST OF MODS ACTIVE ON THIS SYSTEM "\mods\mp1" "\mods\mp2" "\mods\sniper armoury" and delete the lines for the mod thats crashing your game. and just restart Quote Link to post Share on other sites
