Felizes Pascuas!" ← Are u sure u say Felizes or u say FELICES? I know that u cant say the S or Z-C fine but typing ...

Realchaos1
I would really like to see a site if possible. When you guys come up with a product, I would love to host it on my site! The models look pretty damn good, I'm interested in seeing this in action.
Lancer
@ Realchaos, TY for the offer mate. We have a website and a 'secret' Forum where this mod gets beaten into shape. We have missed the 2005 bit of "SWEBAT 2005" tho now. Hopefully this mod will see the light of day.
SnowFella
Can't say we have missed the 2005 deadline mate, storyline doesn't start untill at the end of 2005 so we still have a good couple of months As soon as the silly season ends I'll be diggin into it with renewed energy, I'd want this out just as bad as anyone else. Mostly so I can move on with a clean concience.
SnowFella
Here's something little to show that there still is progress being made on this mod. First of all the current progress on the Patgb203 APC, I finally got around to working on the texture again and it's nearing completion now. And a quick screen grab from one of our retextured maps, and also of our standard troopers in their winter clothing. Snow

Biro
As usual, it's very good work Snow, but I would like to give some few critics aswell. The APC model in itself is top notch, I have nothing to say about that, but the texture could still use some more work. It looks to me like it's coming straight from the fabric and that makes it look alittle plastic aswell. The color variations need some more work. Check out THIS model and you see there's some more differences in the texture on the model. HERE'S some really good brushes you could try to use to make it a little more used. Some more mud on the wheels for example and around the wheels on the APC aswell as the wheels throws up some dirt. On the charachters, some of the same applies. White uniforms is never "that" white. As you know there's no paper out in the woods so things like gun oil, food, and other ###### ends up at the uniform and specially the pants happens to be really grey after alittle while. I know this stuff is hard to get right but you have the stamina to fix it and because of that I belive you see the same thing aswell. I know you are tired of the GR modding also and I totally understand if you don't wanna use more hours on this work aswell. And btw; I really look forward to SWEBAT! Whisper_44
Looking good here too...is it me or is the AK5 a slick lookin rifle...:?:
Tollen
@Biro The "to white" pants are actually my fault as I did the teaxture. But I have actually seen such white camouflage, fresh from the supplychain that is. This snow-camo that we use are under evolution and all of those jackets that I have seen have been fresh new. As this campaign is thought to change from one season to another, well "o crap, it snows! Get us wintergear quick". That isn't as unbelivable as it sounds. Trust me on that one... @Whisper 44 It isn't you, it's Snowfella, as he have put a lot of love into that special piece of metal and plastic! You have to have one to understand it
SnowFella
@Biro: Your totally right about the fact that the paintjob on the APC needs some more wear and tear and I am planning to give it just that, hence the texture only being near completion. Right now it's pretty much just has a base colour and once I get all the detailing finished I'll start up 2 new layers ontop of everything else and paint in first some scrapes and scratches and then some mud splats. I just find it easier to do the "aging" of the texture once everything else is finished. Here's a good example of it using the Pbv302, far model uses a texture without the wear and mud layers while the close one has those layers turned on. And snowuniforms...boy do I know how dirty they get mate, did my army service with a "Nordic Brigade" and we used the old plain white covers during winter. Think it started getting dirty the moment we first layed eyes on it and at the end of the year they were more black than white. Might see if I can take some time and paint in some dirt on the skins but I pretty much suck at doing skins. @Tollen: Your finally starting to fall in love with the old beauty huh. Told you she'd grow on you
Biro
Hehe, yea that model is spot on when it comes to mud. Really, really GREAT! I served on a Leopard tank as a driver in my time in the army, and we used this white uniforms aswell, but only the pants when we was driving. I think it was mostly for saving the tank uniforms we had and it was pretty easy to understand "why" after awhile aswell. We pretty much lived in and of oil during the excercises and the pants looked there-after... Edited January 6, 2005 by Biro
Suicide Commando
The Patria looks awesome SF, even in it's incomplete texture state.

GRIN_Wolfsong
I know my snow gear turned a little yellowish or beige quite fast. It also got a little dirty but not extremely bad as long as you stayed in the snow with it. Besides that. As always, great looking models. If anyone wonders what I'm up to these days, I'll show you... Look here: http://lodossdreams.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=
Cpl Ledanek
Can you incorporate them in GR, for Target practice
SnowFella
I spent my service climbing around on a refueling truck so my wintergear turned more black than white, even if it had stayed white I'd have no chance of "hiding" as you could smell the diesel fuel that I worked with from a good 15 meters. Standing joke on my squad was to make sure to bring the marshmallows and hotdogs in case of war, we were a rolling bbq waiting to happen. And I've acctually seen that forum before Wolfsong and knew what you were up to

SnowFella
Still learning mate Here's the Patgb203 with a more or less finished texture. All the detail is there it's just that I ain't a 100% happy with the look of the mud and might repaint it depending on how it looks ingame.
