I have edited this post as well but left the portion that contains my feelings without centering on anything said by anyone specifically. Im looking forward to this mod and wish to encourage the modders, not detract attention away from the great work they are doing.

Its bad enough that Ive felt that I had to make this point here. This is for support, news updates, and constructive opinions about the mod. I apologize to the mod team. It just makes me feel that some people are really inappreciative of the work that modders put into their mods. This isnt something new from just one person, its something I see every day and I think a lot of great modders have been turned away from modding because of things like this.

Sorry....thought for sure you had a hand in the Alpha Squad missions we played durring the co-op tourney

Chavez, Monkey and I believe Nexus too, made those missions.

To clarify a bit; here is the correct scripter list for SR/SSL missions from Alpha Squad:

SR 2003 week1 Chavez

SR 2003 week2 Chavez

SR 2003 week3 Chavez

SR 2003 week4 Chavez

SSL week 1 Chavez

SSL week 2 Chavez

SSL week 3 Monkey

SSL week 4 (MOD) Monkey

SR2004 week 1 Chavez

SR2004 week 2 Chavez

SR2004 week 3 Chavez

SR2004 week 4 Chavez

Download all those and more at the download topic in our forum.

When SR 2004 ends we will make a MOD out of all Stealth Missions from Alpha Squad that also houses any custom maps used in the tournaments. That MOD will also hold new multiplayer gametypes.

As allways; these downloads will also be available separately.

Ciao

Quick update:

deleyt:

I've finished with grouping all the rooms. They are 24 in total, spread over 3 levels: tunnel-system, groundfloor, upperfloor.

Also the basic lighting has been completed for all the rooms except room _1.

Some older parts of the map have been revisted, adjusted and retextured.

There are still afew minor errors but they should be relatively easy to fix.

Zeko:

Is well on his way with sherman-leveling all the rooms. The basics work and the AI behaves as expected. He's working on making the AI go up and down the stairs right now.

Ogre_h:

Made skins for all 4 platoons (red, blue, green, gold) which will be used for Multiplayer.

For Single Player, he made new skins for the Ghosts, specialists and several enemies.

The basic work has been done and he's working on touching them up.

Lurch32:

Made several weapons which can be seen on our GALLERY

They all need to be textured still.

Right now he's modeling a couple more weapons to be added to the list.

He also made an appointment with a weapons-collector to take some real close-up pictures of the C15 which will be used for texturing.

Missions:

As soon as the sherman-levels are working 100% (with stairs) the package will be send to all the mission-scripters, so they can start their work.

Give props to Snowfella, he really came through on the model. The guy is a saint. Truly

He even does headgear

This is an in-progress shot. He'll be different in game.

I Finally solved our biggest problem: Lightingtool crashing on room _1.

This little problem took me 5-6 weeks to solve as I had to go through thousands of polys to check for possible errors.

Turns out that 4 materials had their BUMPMAP-tag on.

This crashes the lighting-tool.

Another fine example of how crappy the instructions on the PDF and the helpfiles actually are.

In the Map-editor Helpfile it is stated that a BUMPMAP is supported which is in fact not.

I got the map lighted now and it all just works fine.

The villa and the surrounding terrain have been merged now aswell.
