qsilver 0
I would like to aquire a silenced sniper rifle for GR but all weapons mods I have downloaded I cant seem to get them to find out how to get them to work in the game. Any advice? Ive tried putting them in the mod folder, Ive even gotten to the point where one of them was recognized by the mod screen, but when activated I didnt have them in the game (I think). Thanks for the help. -G.
Tollen 0
I recommend you to buy Island Thunder. That Silenced SR25 in there is just great! Otherwise (and I really don´t know how to explain phrase this...) how good are you at homebrewed modding? These are the steps: 1: Create a ModsCont.txt (or take the original and change the name) 2: Drag the .gun-file into an equip-folder 3: Find the value <Silenced>0</Silenced> in this particular file, alter it to <Silenced>1</Silenced> 4: Find a sound-file (or copy the one from the MP5SD.gun 5: Bring over the .qob-file into a model-folder (look in the .gun´s <ModelFileName>iw_smg_mp5_sil.qob</ModelFileName> 6: Bring over the textures (this is mostly a guessing game, which texture have been used, is the scope-lens a texture-file in it´s own). Place them in the teaxtures-folder 7: Create a "Strings.txt" place it in the shell-folder 8: In the .gun-file there is something called <NAMETOKEN>. This can be changed to (this example QS_SSNIPER) 9: In the Strings.txt-file, place the QS-SSNIPER within a pair of these: " and then You decide what the gun should be named in game (like "Silenced Blunderbus") Now it should look like this: "QS_SSNIPER" "Silenced Blunderbus" 10: Getting warm get? Time for the kit file. My tip is that you take the snipers original kitfiles, copy them, place them in your own "kits\sniper"-folder, and change their names. (preferably to something low in the alpabethic order, like "Blunderbus_m9.kit", "Blunderbus_ammo.kit", "Blunderbus_m9sd.kit" and "Blunderbus_frag.kit" 11: In the .kit-files, change the m24.gun into the name of your silenced gun, an voilá, you got an homebrewed MOD Now, just w8 two minutes for the rest of the community to tell me that I´ve missed something...
