firefly2442
Hey guys I have two questions.... 1. I currently have 4.1 speakers setup but I also have two "KOSS" speakers that I used to use with my portable CD-player. Can I add them to my current system and have 6.1? or atleast more sound? 2. I'd like to export my monitor through s-video to my vcr and from the vcr to a TV... is that possible? I'm pretty sure I have all the right cables. Svideo convertor cable to the red, white, and yellow for the vcr and then a coaxial to the tv... will this work? Should I just try it out and see? Thanks! Super-Bob
1. What soundcard do you have? 2. Why use the VCR? Just go straight to the TV.
Dannik
1. Super-Bob is correct. There are only a few sound cards that allow higher than 5.1 sound on the market at the moment. It may be possible to plug more speakers in, but that doesn't mean you'll get 6.1 sound... just more speakers doing the same thing. Post specs please. 2. It should work just fine. To SB: Not every TV has Svideo or RCA video connections. I'll assume firefly is in that boat, thus the VCR in the chain. EDIT: Plus (and I missed this the first time) the subject of the thread indicates he wants to do some video capture, thus the VCR. Super-Bob
You should be able to use the creative mixer to do that or whatever its called, consult your documentation for further instructions.
