I'm running GR/DS/IT on Windows XP retail and a Radeon 9700 Pro board w/ the latest Catalyst drivers and DX9 and the game crashes to the desktop after a few minutes of gameplay(random). I tried to run the GR/DS/IT game with no mods and the same thing occurred.

I know I have to provide some listings such as IKE files and the like for help but don't know what they are or what they do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

If you notice on the very bottom of Ike.log, you can see that some data is missing.

Opposing_force_jungle_7.atr

Opposing_force_5.kit

Make sure these files exist.

Yeah, how can we add them?I notice that sometimes when I make a mission and I add some actors and they are supposedly there, the game gets as far as the mission load out and then it crashes to desk top.

  • 3 weeks later...

Ok, so I uninstalled GR/DS/IT completely and reinstalled all three and the game seems to play w/ no crashes. I then added the latast GR patch and still no problems. As soon as I add and activate a mod, the game crashes to desktop after a few minutes of gameplay.

I seem to remember reading about problems with the XP upgrade form win2000 being a problem. I had my OS installed at the local computer store, so is there any way of telling if mine is an upgrade, and if so, what can I do to fix the problem?
