Where do you think the Ghosts will go next? I'll just list some plausible places for the Ghosts to go to and see what everyone else thinks.. North Korea Iraq Iran Columbia the Phillipines Djibouti (even though theyve already been to Eritrea..) Yemen Zimbabwe (formerly known as Rhodesia) the Balkans the Basque area of Spain Libera/Ivory Coast area Where do you think or where would you like the Ghosts to go next? mob Posted January 19, 2003 Share Posted January 19, 2003 North Korea is screamingly obvious as a good setting, even before this recent round of nuclear shenanigans. Phillipines would be an awful lot like Cuba (and therefore IT) but still has a lot of weight because it's right up the Ghosts' alley and has a firm grounding in actual recent events. I think GR might have painted itself into a corner by doing such a good job of featuring different terrains and climates; they've already done urban, village, and rural settings, woodland, swamp, snowy mountains, desert, jungle, beachfront, etc. Maybe they should put out more models of actual locations like they did for the RS series. Capitol Hill, some Olympic Villages (outdoors), Waco revisited (heh-heh), you get the idea. They could even have a history-jumping theme, with units and weapons matched to the mission. What if the Ghosts were around in the October Crisis in Quebec, rescuing British diplomats and packing Sterlings and FALs? The political angles could be messy, but it could be sweet! Anyway, I think that the whole story line counts a lot, but I think what really makes an expansion pack good or not, are the maps, all the eye candy, and the change in scenery. Id like to see more woodland maps, like the GR mission 1 map and wilderness. DS had no trees (almost)... IT you didnt need trees due to all that fog... Nothing was like sneaking through all the bushes and trees just to sneak up on that punk in the bunker looking for ya. Maybe theres a Militia in the US and the Ghosts go to apprehand the leader and then everything goes crazy as they soon find out that the militia has a Nuclear somewhere in the US. As the Ghosts track down the Militia , they soon find out theres a bigger force using the Militia as a front,who are going to detonate te bomb somewhere in a major city,and the Ghosts got to prevent it from happening. Now I know it sounds like a R6 game, but if they did make this the plot for the next game there would be major Urban firefights in cities like,San Francisco,LA,Vegas,Miami,New York,Chicago,etc. Downside to Urban combat, the command map can sometimes be funny on city levels as your team mates will get stuck on boxes and light posts when you tell them where to go. I wonder if the Ghots will run into the R6 guys when they are in New York? Do I hear Joint Task Force of Ghosts and R6?? *ps* If they did hunt down a Militia, we would be able to blast AK47totin,Mullet wearing,NASCAR lovin,goverment hatin, Militia.......wait a minute....I like guns.....NASCAR..........AK47.... .........whew,I aint got a mullet.
