All the close up ones have serious "noise" on them, probably due to the digital zoom. All the digital zoom is doing is zooming in on the picture, not on the subject. Also the bottom one is blurred, you are either too close, or need a tripod. It might be fine for you but to me quality is the word. And grease, grease is the word, is the word, its the word. BlueRose_76 Posted July 2, 2003 Share Posted July 2, 2003 Very natural Rocky. Try some extra additional lightsources, that really improves your pics. There is indeed some 'noise' in them, which is inherent on digital photography. Try taking pics on a lower iso/asa setting, for example 100-200 asa/iso. This also improve the quality because working on higher speed, the pixels get software boosted, which result in a higher pixel distortion. Might use a tripod. Always ready to hear educated crit! All the close up ones have serious "noise" on them, probably due to the digital zoom. All the digital zoom is doing is zooming in on the picture, not on the subject. No digital zoom mate, horrible stuff! The noise is due to several factors not least : Camera is on fully automatic shots, no manual settings, no tripod used - shakey hands only heh. I don't see much noise actually (maybe in the blue flower shot yeh), only a lack of clarity or definition, and I put that down to 3 megapixels more than anything, a 6megapixel camera would have done better, and a tripod would have helped alot too, especially in the first flower shot. Also the bottom one is blurred, you are either too close, or need a tripod. Yeh I dunno if I was, the macro setting is good for shots taken from 200mm with this camera, I could have been closer - in fact now that I think about it, I wasn't even using the viewfinder, I was holding the camera close to the ground and I wasn't even looking through the lens. Yes you need to store your images on a server somewhere, like your ISP webspace if you have any. Then figure out the url (address) and paste that into your post between [img ] tags.
