Psycho Dad 0
If you open up the rsb file in Photoshop, you'll see a black sqaure and a white square. One has the reticule, the other has the little line you are talking about. Make sure you select the alpha channel before you change anything. Modify that line to make it thinner and you should be set!
Stalker_Zero 0
I thought it was just a number setting you had to change in the .gun file. You mean you have to edit the picture in photoshop??
dekela 0
the pips are the one thing that has me buggered, but you could try and play around with these settings in the .gun file and see what happens,i dont really know what they do. something to do with the size and position of the pips i think. ReticulePipLeft>33</ReticulePipLeft> <ReticulePipTop>0</ReticulePipTop> <ReticulePipRight>37</ReticulePipRight> <ReticulePipBottom>2</ReticulePipBottom> cheers...... ScarfaceSAS 0
All of the comments above are correct. But you need to use the two methods to achieve the correct pip, especially if you create your own. You make the changes to the .rsb reticule file and then you make the changes to the .gun file. The 4 .gun file values tell the GR engine where to find the pip in the reticule .rsb file. Lets say my reticule .rsb file is 128 W X 64 H pixels. half(0-64X64) of the image is my reticule half(65-128X64) is my pip. Also my pip measures 5W X 1H. So your gun file should look like this: <ReticulePipLeft>65</ReticulePipLeft> <--Pixel where the pip starts LH side <ReticulePipTop>0</ReticulePipTop> <--Pixel where the pip starts Top <ReticulePipRight>70</ReticulePipRight> <--Pixel where the pip ends Right(65+5) <ReticulePipBottom>2</ReticulePipBottom> <--Pixel where the pip ends Bottom(0+1) It has been awhile since I have played with pips but I'm pretty sure that was the way I did it. Cobra6 0
What I did for the IDF mod was use the pip locations for a sniper rifle and then using the above tutorial I made my rets. All of the rets were a sniper size ret without having that type of zoom effect. worked pretty well and I didnt have to mess around with the pip locations for every ret I made.
