Militiaman
The modifications Angolan Angst and Operation Diablo Version 1.5 didn't make the list? Angolan Angst is probably one of the best modifications I have ever downloaded.

Orbarth
I personnally always use some weapons from Weapons of War 3.1 in my single player games, and i like the more black kevlar feature on every operatives that this mod introduce . That is a great work and a must download in my opinion. There are a lot of very good mod, but WoW 3.1 is always my favorite. Slick Rick
the park is a fun map, basically a park with football pitches and stands etc. The Dam is cool too. There is a map called tower of death or something that would be excellent for online/multiplayer games. Weapons mods - i like NMM's mod with its minigun, and i like bajabravo's sabre teams for its hk g-33's (plus the excellent skins of course) For favourite skins I would say sabre teams or g8 special forces. and being a brit I like the Royal marines and other uk mods! next up for me is frostbite me thinks! Cocobolo DTD
DTD's No Easy Day! if you don't have this you've been living under a rock (or have 56k) Thanks man, I gotta agree. Just the sheer amount of work in No Easy Day, a true total conversion made with input and work from active duty US military personnel in Iraq. Plus we just updated it to Version 1.4, you really owe it to yourselves to play it. later

wombat50
I am 56k, but I have some buds that send me Large MB mods. The below was a small d/l, after reading the content, I had to try it. I have not been disappointed. FNG Serverside Map Pack v5 for MP and SP http://www.atwar.net/download.php?view.3511 Date added: 06 Mar 04 Filesize: 1.48 mb Have to be registered at Fileplanet to d/l -Map pack includes 12 custom missions/SP Campaign, 95 serverside map environments (down from 120) including day, night ,snow, rain, clear, and sandstorm maps with new bases, spawns, recon/firefight insert/extract, defend bases, enemy placements and more. -DESERT SEIGE AND ISLAND THUNDER ARE REQUIRED! -All original GR/DS/IT missions are playable in the new enviroments and maps support all single\multi-player gametypes and 3rd party mods. -"No Cinematics" patch is included for dedicated servers, for dedicated servers and those who just dont dig on intros. -Uninstall any previous versions of *FNG*DRx's Serverside Map Pack (see below for details). Just install to your Ghost Recon Mods folder. Nothing will be altered or overwritten. Unistall program is included as well. -Improved -Day- maps (easier on the eyes). -FNG Campaign: The 'FNG CAMPAIGN' mod need ONLY be activated for SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN MODE. All maps/missions are still serversided for MP play. Just remember to deactivate 'FNG Campaign' before hosting MP games -NOTE:Patch to remove the cinema scenes for dedicated servers. Its in a seperate folder in the mods directory when you install the pack. AboutThe POW map Mission: QUOTE (Swas @ Alpha Squad Forum Jun 23 2004, 07:44 AM) You started out in the hospital's back room, with sd/pistols only, from there you had to work your way out (killing the guyz in the hospital ect ect). Through out the map there were several jeeps & trucks and if you stood next to them, you'd get better weapons, ranging from sniper rifles to AT's (depending on which type of soldier you had). it was pretty awesome. Cobra6
You 56k'rs may want to try the new DTD Team Mod. Only 48mb, I know that sounds like a big D/L, but with the quality of skins and weapons you wont be disappointed. http://www.fileplanet.com/dl.aspx?/planetr...am_mod_v1-1.exe Edited July 10, 2004 by Cobra6

callmehobbes
Here's a list of my must have mods (in no particular order) Traffic Colombie 2nd Version(Great maps and missions, the best jungle to date.) Op. Frostbite (Huge, stunning and a chance to play in the snow!) BRM 2.2 (Sixpence is god!) CSK Commandos (I love the regular classes though some of the specialists are a bit on the ugly side) DTD's NED (Best weapons reticules) DTD's IDF ( Just for the mortar- It's a real force multiplier!) CO2 ( Esp. mission 2. And 5. Hell, they're all great but it's even better when played with NED) British Infantry by Chems ( But I wish the demo teams didn't have visors, I've only ever seen them used with crowd control. The first mission is excellent!) SPV4 (Allows riflemen to carry demos, rockets and even a sniper rifle. I tend to use this as a weapons only mod and throw in some other skins.) One shot one kill ( The must have sniper mod) I could go on and on but that's enough for now. Cheers Callmehobbes
Chavez
It won't be long now until Alpha MOD is released at approx 360MB. Wether or not it will reach your must-have list is yet to be seen; allthough the testers can't play without it any more

eternal
I don't think my work is in the league of some of these others, but if you want a submersive, story driven experience, I think I accomplished that in Operation Take Back. It features, No new maps, No new weapons, No new skins (well one), No new kits, Only one mission for a 36 meg download. Some people think that 36 megs is alot for the one mission it contains, but that is the price you pay for depth. I believe it's worth it. I may finish the remaining missions, which would only be a few kb download. The link is in my sig. Has anyone mentioned Ossetian Woodlands yet? Or Tactical Gamer 3 mod?
