there are a few ways. you could put another layer on top with the camo and play around with layer types and blending options. or, you could just use the dodge/burn tool to re-make the pockets after you put camo over the whole thing. good luck! :D

I usually use patterns that i create with PS.....i have patterns of all camos i'm thinking to use someday. Once you create the patterns you, just have to fill the area you want. U can leave the straps by not selecting them, using the lasso tool on PS.

This is a Desert camo i did (colorizing the original Brazilian Lizard camo from Bajabravo) for my upcomin Brazilian Special Forces Mod. Check the knee pads, you can colorize them as well.....Just be creative.

normally i cut and paste the pockets on and then play around with the layer type like darken or multiply, then adjust the brightness/contrast. The camo on the knee pads you can use the colour selection tab in ps to select the colour then hit fill to change it to what you whant
