I would love to see this too as I am in no way a fan of fileplanet. Please don't acusse me of stuff I have not actualy been trying to do Splaster if that is what you mean. This was quoted from oneof my earlier posts: Dude I by no means am trying to put a hamper on your plan or to discourage you either. I just want ot make sure you know what you are getting into. I have been trying to creat mods for GR using the Sum of All Fears editor SOFIE. I'm just not too sure how to save them or indeed where to save them. Any pointers. If you control bandwidth and say you have 500KB of bandwidth (which I would bet is really close to what you have) then 10 people at only 50kb (considered slow for broadband still). That is stupid. Why would you set all that up for 10 people? I didnt read this whole post but. I think your confused on what bandwith is. Bandwith is the allowance of how many megabytes or gigs can be downloaded. Say someone downloads somthing off of a server that is 10 mb, it will take 10 mb of your bandwith. 500kb of bandwith is um... Not even enough to run a webpage or server on. I was saying that speed is absurd for 56k, you are not able to understand that. And no I REAPEAT NO phone line will ever carry 56k actual bandwidth. And duh 500kb isn't enough to run it on. That would be a few images with one or 2 viewings maybe more depending on the size of the images and other information on the site. Next time you want to lecture me on something that stupid just pm me. I know and have known what bandwidth is since I've been on the internet. Sorry if this sounds harsh but I feel pretty upset when somebody goes and tells me I dont know what bandwidth is. Now you can learn, servers use different lines not connected to our computers. THey get bandwidth from their providers and we pull off them with our connections. Oh and here is another little fact a cpu stands for Central Processing Unit. Wow! AMAZING never woulda known that huh? Allow me to translate for you: A 500kb amount of bandwidth is a lot for a person(s) using cable or DSL and for 56k that is not even possible. I don't know why people dislike FP so much, I got almost all mods from there. Mostly without waiting, and with a nice speed. I got cable. So I would say good for those to have an alternative DL-site.
