warhawk 0
The following article came from a non tabloid newspaper. It appeared on the front page of the Windsor Star dated Monday, June 23rd, 2003 and I am retyping in it's enitirty here for your reading enjoyment. It was originally printed in The Daily Telegraph. A major review of security surronding the Royal Family was being conducted Sunday after the worst breach for more than 20 years. David Blunkett, Britian's Home Secretary, demanded a report from Scotland Yard into the embarrassing incident in which a self-styled "alternative comedian" evaded police and barged on to the stage at Prince William's 21st birthday party dressed as Osama bin Laden. Aaron Barschak, 36, who regularly imitates the terrorist in stand-up routines, appeared to be motivated by self-publicity when he beat elaborate security and gatecrashed the fancy dress event with an African theme in Windsor Castle on Saturday night. He was not armed. But there is deep concern in the Yard that an intruder, who could have been a gunman or a suicide bomber, penetrated three levels of security to get within feet of Prince William and members of the Royal Family. Barschak was arrested on suspicion of burglary and freed on police bail Sunday. It was not clear whether he would face criminal charges. I hereby volunteer to be that famous fly on the wall as this gets sorted out. I think there will be a few people that might be lucky to get jobs guarding penguins in Antacrtica. FuSaKi 0
Thats pretty embarassing for the security detail, but I like "Bin Ladin's" sense of humor.
magnumkp 0
I had the misfortune to see this guy on the news the other night, standing outside the castle wearing a dress and a beard. I thought that sort of joke went out with Little and Large. *Yawn* wouldn't have minded if he was funny. He did a similar thing at the stop the war demo in london, again it was painfully bad "comedy".
