Ghost_in_the_shadows 0 Posted June 20, 2003 Share Posted June 20, 2003 i got a huge problem i can't play any game s at all and im om summer break cry. cry. cry. when i click on any game shortcut in i get a weird error massage. (this is the massage): "A required .DLL. file, DINPUT8.DLL was not found." PLus i think im missing more any just this file PLEASE help me Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Specter 0 Posted June 20, 2003 Share Posted June 20, 2003 Go to www.microsoft.com/directx, and download and install directx9.0a. The missing .dll is a directx file that has been corrupted or deleted somehow. The upgrade should take care of your problem. Just make sure to download and install the latest video drivers after you reinstall Directx. For future reference, or further probems, we need your OS, RAM, Video Card, Sound Card, Directx version, Processor, and if available, mother board make and model. This should take care of ya though. Dark Ranger 0 Posted June 20, 2003 Share Posted June 20, 2003 It depends on your chipset. For nVidia-based cards, go here. Be sure to choose the correct Operating System, and video card chip. For ATI-based cards, go here. Be sure to choose the correct Operating System, video chip, and whether it is "Built by ATI" or "Powered by ATI". If you ATI card is a Powercolor, SapphireTech, etc, it is "Powered by ATI". As phantom said, update DX prior to installing VGA drivers. Good luck. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
