Go to www.microsoft.com/directx, and download and install directx9.0a. The missing .dll is a directx file that has been corrupted or deleted somehow. The upgrade should take care of your problem. Just make sure to download and install the latest video drivers after you reinstall Directx.

For future reference, or further probems, we need your OS, RAM, Video Card, Sound Card, Directx version, Processor, and if available, mother board make and model.

This should take care of ya though.

It depends on your chipset.

For nVidia-based cards, go here.

Be sure to choose the correct Operating System, and video card chip.

For ATI-based cards, go here.

Be sure to choose the correct Operating System, video chip, and whether it is "Built by ATI" or "Powered by ATI". If you ATI card is a Powercolor, SapphireTech, etc, it is "Powered by ATI".

As phantom said, update DX prior to installing VGA drivers. Good luck.
