44kHz sounds work I guess

The engine may experience hickups on loads of 48 kHz automatic weapons fire, though. I think it bugs out above 256 MB total sound cache (although that may also be a hardware limit). In any case, for positional mono sounds (3d audio effects) the difference in sound quality between 22 and 44 kHz is almost negligible.
