Even with dedicated players like those we have in the ghost recon community things feel like we're at a standstill and the updates are few and far between, right? Next to For Honor and Rainbow Six Siege this game seems like its just supposed to fall to the wayside. New content and updates will be here in the next few months but with these newer games coming out will there be much of a playerbase left? Look at the last ghost recon ! Future Soldier has some of the best game design and multiplayer elements I've ever seen! Yet its been given such little attention after release. If you need more evidence check out these videos from other content creators. Even the youtubers that used it to grow are leaving it because that's all that mattered to some of them, not the game.

I admit  have not played it since getting my ass kicked 50 times in the R6 crossover mission - but I have generally not been gaming much recently.

When new content come out I will be all over it again for sure - I am missing it!

The reason I was so fixated on this is because the last ghost recon got dlc a couple of patches and then no more support even after all the bugs, glitches, and problems of the matchmaking were clearly outlined by the community. I guess I just really want to see more love by the devs for the series. I think it could be so much more than what it is right now. Maybe they're trying to get there, as of late they've been interacting with the community alot more.

Yeh I kind of feel the same, there needs to be a significant update to pull people back.

The numbers rather suggest a lot of them were never here to begin with; many Ghost Recon fans saw what the game lacked, and never bought it. The numbers on the GRN forums show this too and are in decline with each iteration of the Ghost Recon franchise, and mirrors play share. None of this is surprising with Ubisoft continued heralding a return to the roots of Ghost Recon and tactical realism sounding more and more like little boy that cried "Wolf!", only now it's other publishers and even indie developers eating Ubisoft's lunch.

It's inevitable BZ in any game particularly games without modding tools.

I agree, but look at what else has disappeared from the game that tactical realism fans have long regarded as essential; some of them things Ghost Recon was first to deliver when it inaugurated the genre:

·  nav maps
·  a text mode communication system
·  mission based load out system
·  sever browser
·  high resolution net code
·  realistic missions based game modes
·  realistic weapons and equipment

And look what these have been supplanted with:

·  magic radar
·  Barbie's Mystical Adventure weapon grind system
·  horrible Quazal net code
·  match making that's been terrible for a decade built on same
·  action/arcade fictional game modes
·  casino clown content system
·  a communication system that only communicates taunts and insults

The last is a poster child for the kind of cognitive dissonance Ubisoft has created with tactical realism fans. With their 'inclusive virtue signaling' and Ubisoft as 'Your New Gamer Mommy' approach, making sure everything in virtual military game that includes killing is 'safe' and offers a 'safe space' against every kind of 'ism' -- except those Ubisoft doesn't care about, yet...

So...the game's voice over and is loaded with swearing, hostility, psychosis, and 'isms' galore that are ban hammer content for fans texting and is so far beyond military professionalism it would be humorous if it weren't so denigrating and ridiculous.

And the only alternative now to VOIP is a radial menu that only offers taunts and insults that you have to grind or buy in a virtual kiddie casino where you get to bet real money to win a taunt or insult. This is so sick, and below the basement it's now illegal to include in games in some countries -- that it sacrifices an important game interface makes it even uglier and more ridiculous (and worthy of ridicule).

All of this is just...sad, because at it's base Wildlands is an impressive achievement, sullied by too many over ambitious attempts to monetize everything with the lowest common denominator in click and scam bait for naive and vulnerable minds just short of 'Do you know where mommy's wallet is?'...  There are better more honest ways to make just as much money with games.

For tactical realism fans to jump back on the Ghost Recon franchise wouldn't require a Herculean effort on Ubisoft's part; Wildlands offers an excellent platform for expansion, but it would require real and honest effort in showing rather then marketing, baiting and promising...

Oh it must be Christmas time, here's BAH HUMBUG stopping by again.

Never one to let the facts get in the way of you dogged determination to bring the hammer down on GRW or Siege I see your complaints still lack credibility but you just have to keep beating that dead horse.

Get over it please - Siege is a massive success in spite of your disdain and unsubstantiated complaints and guess what, so is Wildlands!

Ubisoft did a fantastic job with Wildlands and Siege, and if you for once put a level head on things and gave them a fair crack of the whip, you might even be big enough to admit it.

Short of that - this is a FAN forum, if you want to complain with purpose - take it to the Ubisoft forum. Your negativity is not welcome here, trying to spoil our SO3 Christmas.

Move on, have a great 2019 posting somewhere that you actually enjoy a game.

Wildlands is fun. It gives you plenty of freedom to work within a tactical environment. Not the most realistic tactical environment, but simply adapt to the situation like you would in real life and it's a fun experience. It rewards you for using a tactical mindset where you write your own playbook, not try to copy real life inside a video game.

Wildlands is dying but that hasn't stopped me from giving it a quick one-hour spin once in a while. On the PVE side it's begging for some sort of mission generator or simple mission editor to increase the replayability because going through the same missions over and over again is a little tiring. Unfortunately, that's all there is to it at this point.

I just recently got back into it about a month ago on PS4 and then, while at a certain location, something popped into my mind. I was thinking of my one friend that I gamed with on PC all the time and I thought, I could see him locating there and then me going in to assault. And that's how I decided to start shopping for a new custom pc. He and I are finally gonna be gaming together after almost a decade apart. Game may be dying, but I've had some great times playing it and look forward to even more on PC with my friend.

Yeah, he's such a miserable f### for making criticisms about a franchise and genre he cares about. I love how you completely glossed over how he said it was an impressive achievement at its core and offered ideas on how the series could be pulled in an upward direction.
