About all I know is they look different and aimpoint uses a red dot while ACOG doesnt. Do they have the same kind of zoom? Marcinko 1 Posted June 15, 2003 Share Posted June 15, 2003 ACOG's have a 3.5x35, 4x32, and a 5.5x50 zoom, i believe, and reddts, have, well, none IIRC, the purpose of a reddot, is to enhace ur view, believe me, usin a reddot is a lot better than usin old ironsites ACOG has many a different ret, they have the donut IIRC, shich is similar to the reddot, just hollowed out in the middle. correct me if i'm wrong guys.
