For some reason I thought I had to catch El Pulpo, so I shot out the tires on all cars in the complex he was hiding in. I realized shortly after I was supposed to escort him.

Somehow I protected him all the way to the airport on flat tires.

Well,I have one memorable experience that really stands out.It was the mission "Framing El Way". It was 2 player co op.First part went well, then we get the objective of kill the (Unidad) Lt and plant evidence. So we hop into a SUV and make our way there. We get into a head on collision with a unidad patrol, and we have to escape. So we finally get to the target location, spot the Lt...I fire...and he ducks just before the shot gets to him.Now the base is on alert, alarms going off.

What followed was a 30 minute firefight, with reinforcements being called in on both sides (high rebel skills are great.),and a ton of rebel casualties,we finally get to the guy and plant the evidence. No problem there...

...until i try to leave, and get spotted by a Unibad chopper

More reinforcements me and my friend escape in diffenent direction. In comes chopper no 2.

FML

so i spend 20 minutes evading, finally find a hiding spot,2km away.I wait, the choppers go away,my friend says he is coming with an exfil vehicle to pick me up.He says it with a laugh,so i worry.

five minutes later,i hear crashing thru the forest and hear an engine, and see...

A bulldozer.I laugh,hop on, and we exfil.]

Note this is supposed to be an easy and straightforward mission...SUPPOSED to be.

God I love this game.Currently all I have left is Nidea and the second El Sueno mission.

I hate to say it, but it's not even like the old days of nice precision missions. It's all just a comedy of errors.

how do you mean? if you're talking about the game itself then that honestly is subjective based on the player's playstyle.

I don't play with the same people that I used to play with. Now I'm playing with my RL friends and 2 of them don't know squat about military tactics let alone listening when they need to.

So when we play now vs the old days, playing with the RSi guys and the GR.net team was a thing of beauty, these guys now a comedy of errors. But none the less alot of fun.

This is probably my favorite game in years. I lose hours when I play, either alone or with the guys.

then there was the time I was playing 2 player co op with another person,we are flying thru i forgot where, but there were SAMs.

He was piloting,we were on our way to a mission.SAMs start coming in,no big deal (they are rather easy to dodge if you have good forward airspeed). Next thing you know,he gets a mission complete message. For NOT the mission we were on our way to.

What had happend was,one of the SAMs he dodged hit a mission target, saving us the trouble.

What goes up,must come down,folks...
