Rocky
We had 2 or 3 attempts at this mission before a proper plan emerged lol.
Lightspeed
Very cool mate and glad to hear and see that without tactics the mission can be failed. Am I right there is noticeable bullet drop? Blue Fox seemed to aim a little higher to allow for the drop. I'm happy.
nyleken
Great gameplay, Rocky! Did you guys ever play on the hardest difficulty? If so, how was it and would you recommend it for a first-time playthrough? EDIT: I watched AI Bluefox's video on the mission. Did the Ghosts seriously reference the campfire joke? I'm all for giving them personalities but, c'mon. On the other hand, the voicelines for spotting enemies are actually pretty good. Yes there is bullet drop, we spent some time messing around in a lake testing that.

I was playing on the default setting so as you saw I did take 2 or 3 hits which forced me to pull back but no death.

Rocky
That's one of the factors it changes, I am not sure of all the factors the individual difficulty settings make though.
gvse
Is it possible to approach that mission at night? If so how does it work, i.e. in Far Cry there used to be a house where you went and slept till the time when you wanted to do the mission. How is it here? Also, is AI awareness different at night? Finally, if you played solo with ai teammates: do they seem invisible to enemy ai (like in GRFS) or do they actually avoid enemy line of sight? Rocky
Yes you can play at night, in fact I think one of our failed attempts was during dusk. I'm not aware of a game mechanic to accelerate time like you mention, but I guess, you could always go and do another mission and leave this one until nightfall if that was your strategy. Not 100% sure on AI awareness at night but I would imagine it is different as the dev team have already described how the systemic world is populated with non player characters that have varying priorities depending on time of day and related events. AI teammates will put the enemy on alert if they are spotted, so if you instruct them to move forward, its a good idea to drone the area first. gvse
Thanks for the reply. All this looks really appealing to me. I used to make my own missions like that in Arma3, but that game is so rough around the edges that I gave up on it almost 2 years ago. One more question: it seems like an overkill that your avatar can carry 2 sizable rifles: can you leave one slot empty and instead carry more ammo to your primary weapon? Rocky
Yeh carrying to primaries is not something I really agree with from a realism point of view, but it offers the player freedom of choice - you can carry two, or you can specialise and just carry one primary. I don't think you can carry more ammo in that slot though.
Lightspeed
Saw a vid from Bluedrake. Said game was fun but he felt fairly invincible overvthe AI most of the time. Except when ridiculous QRF of 5 choppers with gatling guns would show up at a small outpost but fortunately there just happened to be some lying around at the camp. Is that you're experience? Rocky
Not my experience because in that clip I posted BLuefox and Adam both needed revived. It depends what level of difficulty you are on. Of course there is only one level of difficulty for "us" - OSOK.
Lightspeed
Funny coz the vid you guys posted looked like you guys wrre getting shot but absorbing the damage.
Rocky
I was on default difficulty setting. Blue was on the hardest. Not sure about the rest of the team though. I'll check the full footage and see.
TJbrena
I keep seeing 20 round limits in 30 round mags in demo footage. POF P416s (among others) carrying less ammo per mag than they should given the mags they're modeled with bugs me.
