AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker
Hi All: It's been quite a while since I've been here or in Ghost Recon, but decided recently to fire up GR and take the old gal for another spin. I was wondering about generating a .gtf firefight file: I have seen in the scripting where you can spawn (call) an "opposing force" with a specific number of bad guys (say, 30). Here's my question: Is it possible to call for SPECIFIC actors with specific weapon kits to fill the opposing force? wombat50
Hey Riker, long time no see. Not sure but I think for gtf's the opposing force atr's (actor folders Origmiss, Mp1 and MP2) and opposing force kits(Origmiss/eguip) can be edited for what you are after. Again not positive. MrMoon
I'm not really that savy about firefights but I there is a script command to 'spawn actor'.
ApexMods
Wombat is correct, the way to alter default firefight enemies is to change opposing_force, opposing_force_desert, and opposing_force_jungle actor files (.atr) e.g. to point to other character models/textures. The "spawn actor" script command can be used to spawn specific actors, but you will need to spawn them onto existing "opposing assault force" teams in order for them to become part of the team AI and follow the default patrol plans of firefight opponents. This can be a bit more tricky, e.g. as you'll have to make sure there's still soldier "slots" available in the corresponding team.
