Papa6
http://www.neowin.net/news/techspot-dying-light-benchmarked-performance-review video of gameplay. you can climb and jump on everything. not your usual hack and slash zombie slash fest http://youtu.be/4Gyc5625xSQ it uses the 6th generation of the game engine used in call of juarez. however, I went whereever I wanted and climb what ever I wanted to get away from normal infected. think of it as a first person mix version of assassins creed meets zombie thriller. if you make noise, like shoot or fight as if you were playing left 4 dead or left for dead 2, you won't do well. be quiet, patient and think out your plan of attack. BTW, when you start out, you will be level 2 or 3, don't get caught outside at night because the special infected are tough and all over and hunt YOU. find a safe house and familiarize yourself with where the safe houses are. some have been compromised which will require you to secure the doors and kill the infected inside to secure the safe area. you'll need safe areas to sleep in to get your health back. when I secured the open safe area, I found out a weapon dealer moved in to sell weapons I needed. that helped me alot weapons: pipes, pipes and more pipes. machete like hatchets, guns and more. weapons DO wear out. which require repairs. each weapon has a certain amount of repairs until it is useless. so if you hack and slash a lot, look to save money a lot to buy weapons from dealers. synopsis: you are a secret agent inserted into an infected neighborhood in the movie intro and end up in a tower safe house. you'll earn trust by fulfilling jobs or quests. you are bitten which makes you a future infected??? perhaps. learn to climb and jump on various objects like buildings and light poles with light traps and more. your job is really to obtain secret files on the infection for an unknown group, probably government related. there are antigen drops for injecting bitten people and other supplies. rival gangs will steal those dropped supplies if you are too slow. so be fast, get the stuff you need and get indoors to a safe area before dark!!! the game is already for sale on steam for $59.99 US. the coop mode unlocks upon successful completion of the prologue (basically a training section) where you setup traps for your survivor group geek and learn how to jump from ledges to ledges and place to place(basically the controls to get around). the game will tell you when COOP (matchmaking) is unlocked and available. for private, LAN or other server games for public as well. Cobblers
If you don't like Dead Island then chances are you won't like Dying Light, very similar in feel and design etc.
Jeza
Yeah I've threw a few hours into it so far, very similar to dead island but with the added jump and grab type mechanic, its pretty fun but im sure better in coop.
