Bunnyman Posted January 9, 2013 Share Posted January 9, 2013 According to C$K British Commandos mod there were plans to make these vehicles: Warrior Mechanised Fighting Vehicle, Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank, EH101 Merlin Helicopter, Land Rover 110. It's difficult to find vehicles that fit with the current British vehicles, there doesn't seem to be any current British camo schemes for actors either. But maybe using the vehicles that exist is ok, I mean GR is not a realism game as much as we would like to think it is. It is realistic because a team of coordinated members with a precise plan will always emerge victorious. It is realistic because using run'n'gun tactics in team versus team will get you killed while moving tactically with your team will keep you alive. It may not have state-of-the-art graphics or precise ballistics, but it is much more real than any game I have ever played. I am yet to find another game that makes you jump when snipers nail you with a .50 caliber sniper rifle, or a game that gives you that thrill of doing something heroic to save your team, or a game that can be played realistically and stealthily without the aid of scripted cinematics. Sure, ArmA might be more realistic, but it isn't a game. It is a simulator, and a buggy one, too. Ghost Recon is a game, but it gives you a realistic experience while keeping the fun spread throughout every mission. Ghost Recon is realistic because you are truly terrified when you hear a grenade land in the brush next to you. Ghost Recon is realistic because when you throw yourself flat in thick grass as a huge enemy patrol comes running past you, you hope with all your heart that they won't see you. Ghost Recon is realistic because when you coordinate a synchronized shot with your fellow snipers and nail four targets all together at the same exact moment, you get an incredible feeling of awesomeness that you don't get in Call of Duty's lame scripted moments with Captian Price growling in your ear. Ghost Recon is realistic because getting shot is scary and somehow you feel the pain and bullets are actually something other than an indication of enemy presence and wounds are something other than a red screen of blood splatters you can recover from in seconds. Ghost Recon is realistic because when you emerge from a battle against real players with a bullet hole through your leg, a dent in your armor where a round struck you, and a head wound from a grenade explosion and win the game with no team mates alive, you feel like a hero. It would be useful for those of us who are failry new here and are active, if we could collect and list all the different kits, models, skins, weapons, vehicles- so that we know what we can re-use and what we would need to make from scratch.
