franglen Posted December 5, 2012 Share Posted December 5, 2012 I have only started playing Ghost Recon again after a long lapse because of knuckle replacement hand surgery. I might add that I have not had this problem in the past. The game has always run perfectly until now that is. I have GR-DS & IT installed to the 1.4 patch and have a problem that I can't quicksave my games. ie; f6 is supposed to quicksave and f7 is supposed to load last save. Neither works the way it should. When I press f6 it restarts the mission etc. f7 doesn't even work. I have tried to reset the keys to the default settings but it still doesn't work. The only way I can save a mission is to hit escape and do it that way. Any idea what could be the problem anyone? Can I edit the options XML in some way to make evrything work gain? RileyFletcher_01 Posted December 5, 2012 Share Posted December 5, 2012 Double-check your key mappings. There's a chance you messed up. Not saying you're stupid or anything but I can't tell you how many times I've gone insane because of some slash I left out in a gun file or something. Also there is a possibility that you overwrote your default keys; I think if you save the new setup as 'DEFAULT' or whatever it will overwrite the original. I have tried resetting to default, tried remapping the keys , even tried editing the xml file. But I still can't quicksave. I am using the GOLD edition if that makes ay difference to anything. It's weird because everything was fine before my operations. I need the quicksave because I have been dead and buried so many times because my fingers don't want to work properly yet. It doesn't take too long to do and I don't have a great deal of mods installed. I know I'm getting tired of "KATHUMP"..... Blood pool........ "We have a casualty." Thanks for your help everybody.
