Skin and uniform modding question

Recommended Posts

I noticed in IT:Mission 3 that one of the "to be rescued marines" is wearing the desert style soft-cover. I like the entire look so I decided to do a little cut and pasting. After I copied, then pasted, then renamed the *.chr and the *.rsb files from IT:mission 3 to the Original mission none of my players had a soft cover on. Didnt even have a kevlar on.

I first altered the RSB file and the players were changed to the new uniforms, but the cover was still kevlar. I changed, the *_a,_b.chr files and still the same. But once I changed the *.chr file they lost their covers. The RSBeditor clearly shows the USMC soft cover, but it wont switch over to the characters. Please help. What else do i need?

RSB files are only the images, the uniforms, vests, puches etc etc.

The CHR files are what have the actual 3D Models. The only way to use that vest is to either just use the USMC CHR or make your own.

The soft cover is an attachment, so you would have to add appropriate head attachment info to each atr file to get them to show up. Or you can download =MM= Shadow's marine mod from his site, he has modeled the hat onto the marine character, or you can try one of the larger size marine mods from the downloads page that have the attachment atr's completed and use a marpat style marine uniform.
