Mission Startup Crashes and Random ones?

Okay, so i am painfully close to finishing Mission 15, but here's the catch.

Missions 1, 2, 3,4 and 5 cause a crash upon load up and mission 15 will crash at a random point as of when it wants to.

but here's the catch of the catch, NOTHING shows up on the Ike.log

Symptoms:

Missions 1-5:

mission startup, all fine, I can move around and whatnot, 30 seconds later the game Freezes, and the game closes. no normal "Ghost Recon.exe has stopped working" message to be seen. This is consistent. I check the Ike.log, nothing but the normal missing files that were never there in the first place (and never caused a problem)

Mission 15:

Mission startup, great, no crash, at random times, the game freezes and closes with no message from the system or on the Ike log.

I've seen the same symptoms on my old laptop, I started a mission any mission in particular, and the game would run at 2 FPS for about 10 seconds and then close.

NOTE:

Project Novo IS active when this happens

when it isn't active, everything works fine, but if it was a texture error would it not turn up on the stack?

also having some issues with sound, sometimes it works. other times, it is completely silent.

All CPU/GPU temps are normal.

Ahem:

possibly, stress possibly, solved.

Took a look at the mod's folders to find several redundant and conflicting files that were restored accidentally.

Started mission 1 with the mod active, all is well. it seems to work more than fine now, it even has a little boost :)

ike log shows up nothing, deleted all saves, it seems to be an issue in recent files, the GUM ones and the Kremlin wall, finding out which ones are causing crashes is going to be hilarious.

okay, improved the situation, seems to be an alpha blending conflict in the ceiling textures of the GUM centre, i'll look into it further and resave all GUM texture files as a precaution.
