RileyFletcher_01
Either this is a strange coincidence, or I've discovered another neat unknown feature of Ghost Recon. On my first TXM mission, the tanks would occasionally stop moving although it was not in their plan. They would soon resume. Now, in my fifteenth mission, the allied tank goes along its path but twenty or so enemies show up and lay down heavy fire, while the allies are firing back at them. The tank stops. Once the enemies are down it moves again. Is it a matter of lag? Is it stopping because forty people are shooting at once and there are 160 active actors? Or is it pinned down and 'taking cover' like an actor would do? I will try adding a AAC plan in there and see if it keeps moving.
Zeealex
i've known about it for a little bit, it happens with trucks, only the driver gets out instead i think in Igor if you edit the placement properties you can check/uncheck "don't stop when shot"
RileyFletcher_01
It is checked, I always check it so that isn't the case here. I think that only applies to trucks however. Mission 15 is hell, 120 enemies and 40 allies, major long-lasting firefights in your face every minute.
Blame
It stops so it can have a better aim at the enemy.
Tinker
Tanks are supposed to stop if you have set a patrol to follow the tank, and the patrol becomes engaged. Tank will only move again if either the patrol are killed, or they become unengaged.
RileyFletcher_01
Okay that explains it, thank you Tinker. Makes sense and I like the fact that your tank doesn't just breeze through the map without stopping to help.
