Papa6 Posted June 28, 2012 Share Posted June 28, 2012 I have assessed the game and found that the multiplayer side isn't worth it. as long as a game has these xp points to earn stuff generates run and gun non tactical gameplay. I was amazed that the game is just run and gun. I thought there were some redeeming qualities of this game but, no. unless there's a COOP firefight or COOP missions in MP, this wasn't a good purchase on my part. my mistake. 101459 Posted June 28, 2012 Share Posted June 28, 2012 (edited) Yes, I have pretty much the same impression -- it's a crude arcade kill/rewards 'special prize for mass murder' casino shooter; that feels more like Gears Of War with a new paint job then anything 'realistic'. I too own full responsibility for buying the game, no one 'made' me do it, in fact several people who post here seemed to be making earnest efforts and raising the red flag with lucid cogent posts. My summery judgment (which may be premature and biased by the bad roll-out, bugs, and what seems virtually unanimous negative sentiment) is: not only is Grfus not Ghost Recon, not Tactical Realism in any way, shape or form any Tactical Realism Fan would recognize -- it's not even a good or respectable 'AAA' game... If Grfus had cost roughly 60% less I would regard it differently, but at $60 this is not a good value. 101459 Posted June 28, 2012 Share Posted June 28, 2012 For anyone 'on the fence' and considering buying this game, I'd suggest you give some of the Metacritic User Reviews a read; there are both positive and negative review so gauge your decision on what resonates with you; but noblesse oblige -- Buyer beware; this has been a very disappointing game for many that wanted (and tried) to like it... CJo1964 Posted July 17, 2012 Share Posted July 17, 2012 Agreed papa.....multiplayer is very very disappointing and reminds me of COD where players there loved bombing everyone with frags. Theres no skill involved.....its all run n gun and die very quickly gaming......crap in other words. I dont mind the Guerilla mode, but prefer the campaign mode. If this game is to survive it will need player made coop maps or it will die a very quick death too. Look at GRAW 2 (and GR1) and how they have survived by the dedication of our map makers and fans here alike.
