wombat50
Please Let us know how you like it. I have a brother who plays PS3 solely. Would it be possible to program the penguin at home and take it to my brother's home and use it on his PS3?

You connect to the PC desktop to config it, then plug it in to any PS3.

ApexMods
Wow, I need this! I'm completely hopeless with that standard controller when it comes to FPS on the PS3.

Hellman
My guess is that it doesn't work to well as we have not seen the review as of yet.

Your guess is wrong, it works so well I cannot drag myself away from the PS3 to write the review!
Low Profile
Are you able to map the PS3 controller's "L3" and "R3" buttons? Also, I use the left and right mouse buttons to move forward and backward. Does this device allow for mapping forward and backward to the left and right mouse buttons? I've never used WASD. Base configuration I use for all PC FPS games shown below. My home keys are shown below in red. Mouse Configuration Left Mouse Button = Move Forward Right Mouse Button = Move Backward Keyboard Configuration Shift = Zoom (Pinky Finger) Z=Strafe Left / A=Lean Left (Ring Finger) X=Strafe Right / S=Lean Right (Middle Finger) C=Walk / D=Reload (Index Finger) V=Go Prone / F=Use (Index Finger) B=Binoculars / G=Change Rate of Fire (Index Finger) N=Night Vision / H=Hold (Index Finger) Left Ctrl=Raise Stance (Pinky Finger) Left Alt=Lower Stance (Thumb) Space Bar=Fire (Thumb) Edited June 16, 2012 by Low Profile

Your guess is wrong, it works so well I cannot drag myself away from the PS3 to write the review! More like Chef Assumption.... just wanted to stir you up to find out how well it works.... I am planing on getting one of these this week. What's your setup? I already have a Belkin n52te (which I hear works well as its built in memory doesn't need EEC). I need to get a new mouse (was hoping my old Reaper Edge would work but couldn't find out if it was compatible). Perhaps the g500 as I have read that’s the best one to get. Does this device allow for mapping forward and backward to the left and right mouse buttons? Not got time right now to go through your whole config mate, but yes you can map the L3 and R3 buttons, for example I have the R3 button (which is scope by default) mapped to my RMB, in this way I can really quickly pull up my scope by clicking the right mouse button and fire off a shot with the left mouse button extremely fast. Also, I have it set so that when the scope comes up, the mouse sensitivity is reduced, so that when you are scoped in, you can make those small aiming adjustments for easier. Movement though, is hardcoded to the right thumstick, so I am not sure if you can map movement to the mouse button, I don't think so, but I will check. More soon. Low Profile
If backward and forward can be mapped to the left and right mouse buttons I may give it a try to see how I like it. If not, I won't even bother. Can't teach an old dog new tricks. :-P On a related note... I've always wanted to give the XIM mouse/keyboard adapter a try, but have never owned an XBOX 360. Went to their site today after posting here earlier and found there is a new XIM product being introduced called the XIM Edge which supports the PS3 as well! Added myself to the waiting list to purchase one once they become available. Edited June 16, 2012 by Low Profile

More soon. Sounds awesome!!! How does one go about setting that up? What is your mouse/keyboard setup? It's actually easy. You can set any one keyboard or mouse button to make the Eagle Eye switch to a different set of settings (mouse speed, correctiopns, dead zones etc) so if you ALSO set that same button to your Scope or Aim button, all of a sudden your zoomed in scoping becomes a lot easier to target. You couldn't do that with a normal mouse/keyboard so it's really cool.

Hellman
Rocky didnt i say it was pretty cool? I bought one for Killzone 3 bundle when it came out cant live without it Curious to know what mouse/Keyboard combo you gents are using? Picking my EagleEye up tomorrow and was looking for a good setup config as well. I'll be using a Belking n52te and either a Razer Abyssus or a logitech g500. the razer is half the price. Might try my old Ideazon Reaper Edge but I don't think it will work.
Rocky
@ Hellman, you should check the official EE forums, they have forums specifically to list which mice work best. At the moment I am using a really cheap netbook wireless mouse, but I've been advised to go get a proper gaming mouse with adjustable dpi to get the very best out of the EE. Yes I have been trolling the penguin forums for all sorts of info. Not all of it is clear. I'm picking up my EE after I type this! I am looking forward to seeing if this experiment will better my console experience as I am a PC gamer first and still have troubles in FPS's with the dual-shock. Rocky
I have never managed to play shooters using a controller so my console gaming is restricted to racers. With the EEye I can now play shooters too
