ramyamir
Hello. Together with my friends I'm trying to play Ghost Recon 1 Coop using GameRanger. But from time to time some players loose the synchronization with the game, making it unplayable. Also sometimes Ghost Recon randomly crashes for them, mostly in middle of game. Does anyone knows a solution or alternative to GameRanger that doesn't have such issue? Thanks. We all have latest game version (1.4) with both expansion installed and enabled in options menu. Oelmuvun
I would suggest that someone just run a server and connect by IP leaving GameRanger out of the equation. As far as I have observed Ghost Recon is normally well behaved by itself, but add in GameRanger and a couple issues crop up. Not saying that GameRanger is bad, just that is some situations it is not required/desired. I have not noticed Ghost Recon crash while once in a game myself but it will crash while GameRanger is starting GhostRecon up. I have noticed the desync issue, idk if there is a way to kick it back into sync in the same round though. I doubt it. So, basically, yea. Just have someone run a server from within GR and connect to their IP. Or have someone setup a dedi server on a separate box in their house/somewhere and you all connect to it by IP. It should be noted that I did not really play GR online all that much. Back in the day I was doing more GR matches over LAN than online. So I might be full of ###### here.
