On this day many brave young men from the US, UK, Australia, NZ, South Africa, Poland, France and a host of other countries bravely gave their lives in the invasion of Normandy to rid Europe of Hitler's Tyranny. To them, and all our forefathers, grandfathers and great uncles, living and dead, who fought for freedom around the world in those dark times, I offer a heartfelt thank you.

to be correct :D

Never forget the fallen.

Millions of them gave their lives to save the few of us (so to speak).

Semper Fidelis. Semper Idem.

While he was speaking of the Battle of Britian I feel that the following quote by Sir Winston Churchill has a deeper meaning all the way around. He may not have intended to mean this but whenever I read this quote I am reminded of the sacrifices not only made by the brave men of the RAF but of every country who fought against Hitler and Nazi Germany. To the men and women that served to protect future generations from these mad men I say thank you and I will never forget you! EVER! It is to you that I owe the freedom I enjoy today.
