MarkAm_i
Hi, I'd like to learn how I can remove spawn 'Points' in Igor. I understand very little about Igor, I've moved the Points around on the map, but what I need to be able to do is remove them off of the main map level so that I can place them on upper map levels in buildings and on balconies. Not only the spawn Points I guess but also the objective points. Can someone help me with this? If there's a manual where the info is located and you could point me in the right direction that would be great, I can't find how to in the advanced igor manual 2. MarkAm_i
View > Level Up I understand how to change the view, do you know how to add/remove spawn points? Because that's what the question I have is.
Tinker
Do not mess with these in the .mis file it can corrupt the file. In Igor you will find 36 zones from point 00 to point 35. Example, select point 12 that is on level 1. Delete it. Go to level to and add a zone where you want it. On the right side in the zone properties tick it as a point. It should auto assign it point 12 if that is the only 1 you deleted. If you delete several just need to reassign then the correct point number, but 1 at a time is best. The - and + on the number pad switches between levels. That is for firefight. For defend you would alter the assault zones.
RileyFletcher_01
The response SpawnOpposingAssaultForce will spawn the enemy at the assault zones SpawnOpposingPatrolForce will spawn the enemy at the map points. I guess you know that you should copy the mission you're editing into your mod's mission folder and edit it from there. Any file can overwrite a default one as long as it is in the same place in your mod as it is in the overwritten one and has the same name. I know it's probably a dumb question, but I don't see where you have a delete option and could you point out the way you add them? The Igor interface is new to me. I looked, trying to learn how, but I need help locating them. Edit: I looked further and found where to delete one. Now once I switch the level to add that point, that's where I am stuck. I can't find the way to get it placed onto that level to be able to move it around.
RileyFletcher_01
Hit the Delete button on your keyboard. Go to the second level and make a new zone. Do not adjust its parameters. Check the Point box and set it to the right number.

Can you point out the steps or a Igor manual that contains the steps? Thanks.
RileyFletcher_01
MISC tab on left in IGOR. Bottom of list, click on Zone. Once selected, click where you want the point. If it needs to be bigger, drag the yellow square out to increase the size. Edited April 24, 2012 by RileyFletcher_01

What part of the interface is involved with adding the point? I gotta say riley, that I could use more detail. Thanks.

RileyFletcher_01
Sorry, I need to remember when I was a beginner, when things weren't ALWAYS simple I hope you don't take what I just said wrong, not saying you're a noob or anything. So you select ZONE, then hold down Ctrl and click where you want it. Drag the yellow square while you have the zone selected to enlarge it. For a point, the size is fine like it is. Now, on the bottom right of IGOR, scroll down that little box and you'll see a check box by POINT. Check the box, and select what number (0-35) in the little pulldown box. Set the number to whatever number of point it was you just deleted. Oh, and please, please, don't give up on scripting. I am very glad to see somebody willing to work at this and learn how to mod for an extremely old but fantastic game. I'll be expecting a campaign in a few months
